**** Kitties! Mom is going to handle this one. I'll just take the time to turn over the trash again. Just did so again right under her feet (the desk has a can under it) not five minutes ago! ****
Darla made a comment that mom and I read this morning. It's always great when cat moms agree as most of us all do here on the CB.
She mentioned an experience she had with her two cats at a Vet office. Very interesting, as I have been through it quite a bit myself where we are going now. She mentioned that a Vet office she was going to didn't seem to have the same Vet there very often...that they seemed to have a turnover most times. Well, I commented on that very thing to my own Vet office. I was trying to make an appointment, and once again they said the Vet wasn't there any longer. I said "Every time I come in here, the roster has changed." They made some comment about how that happens sometimes. I started there four years ago and the Vet turnover is remarkable.
When Katie had her senior exam last of April, the tech came out with a list of services and charges that, as I wrote back then in this blog, were over $800.00. I told her a blood test, urinalysis and standard exam should not be the amount they charged. I told her that I save receipts and they too can look and see what the charges have been, though they too were high. They have risen astronomically this year. I said I would not pay that fee, so I would take her elsewhere. They started marking off superfluous charges then, and came back with $500.00. She had already been drugged by them, (I hate that!) so I allowed the exam and charges. Nothing else but standard was allowed by me.
They also never said a word over time about the weight Katie lost. And when there was only 1 month between the senior exam and me coming in for her nail trim, it showed she was supposed to have lost yet another pound, in just a month... I asked how that could happen when she was eating so extremely well. No reply.
So, I am starting the process of going to another Vet, asking if they scruff, and how they handle frightened cats.
Just venting here.
