Mom and I are Getting Ready

 Brother is leaving from over the mountains right after school.  He thinks he may be here about 10.  We can't wait.

Mom made a lemon cake with lemon icing ahead of time and it is resting in a cake saver.  Mom has everything out to make stuffing ahead of time too.  She will bake it on Thursday.  Tomorrow morning she will make a cherry cobbler. for Thanksgiving.  Of course I can't have any of either thing but then, neither should SHE!  

She took off for the track this frozen morning.  Got two miles in.  Tomorrow her DIL and my Client will be here for a good part of the day as well as my human brother from N.C.  My Client doesn't get into my food and water any more.  So he hires me for all the other outrageous things in school and home.  I am happy to be of service.

Look what a friend of ours sent this morning!  

Now THIS should be a must in every Cat Home.  I have complete charge of the one here!  But I need one more my size!  I'm asking him what he did to get his parents to buy him that!  He deserves it.  It holds a selection of his toys too.  And a Fancy Feast can holder too.  I insist!

 Here I am!  AGAIN in the same ol' same ol' fave place.  Taken yesterday afternoon.  Same time, same station.  I did get my feets smooched though. Still making up, she is, for leaving me.  The sun was glorious but boy, mom said it was cold! 

Sad Face and a Video...

 Sad face was sent to me from Katie's sitter...made me sad to see it.  The movie is something I enjoyed watching her do a few weeks ago. Here  is a sad little one.

HA!

Kitties!  Woofies!!  Mommy took off like a scalded hog Friday!  She and a dear friend went to visit favorite brovver in NC...way over the mountains.  She just got back an hour or so ago and ran around like someone was chasing her.  She did that for a good hour despite complaining about how hungry she was.  Oh she petted me and smooched me, and I re-scented her for MINUTES along with head bonks and side rubs,  Lots of re-scenting though.  Flopped on my side and asked for and got, pets.  Got a good supper; and after her running around  doing stuffs, she finally made her some tuna salad and wolfed it all down.  Every bit.  Practically licked the bowl. 

I was going to trash the house but I only turned over the  all little trash cans in the bedrooms  Nothing but a few tissues in the,.  Took all the fun out! I opened the curio cabinet bottom doors and made myself at home there.  The cat sitter didn't dump out the scattered litter in front of the litter box, so momhad a lot of sweeping all over the kitchen to do and the dumping off of the rug's accumulation of litter in front of my commode.  The wood floor looks in need of a good cleaning tomorrow.  

Mom spent monies like they were just printed and handed to her from the nearest xerox.  She bought a new area rug for the living room where I pulled the carpet.  This ought to give me something besides the good carpet to claw.  She bought me my own small rug made of jute and sisal,  I hope I like it. 

Mom is very sleepy.  So she's gonna take a hot shower and get bundled up,  It is cold finally. 

Snow was starting in the mountains as mom and Pat got to I-26 headed West...and the surroudings as you can see were whitening.  A year or so ago, the same thing happened and she told me it chased her all the way from NC to home in TN.  Big snow for the Carolinas and TN. that time.  Mom said she was down to 10 MPH in the mountains that time, and was really nervous that someone would plow into her, as it was so hard to see through the snow.  This time it was still  up there and making it's way down.

From MY Point of View

 Here I am.  (that is my paw touching the  window sill in the upper left of my body) I am at my main most important  patrol point keenly observing any all and everything that is warm blooded moving out there on my property.  Keeping a mental log of it all. (Don't worry. I have a memory that lasts and lasts).  (I could name you out every v-e-t visit since 2012).

WHAT a JOY!

 Oh my goodness...mom and I had visitors today and what a joy it was for her and also for me.  I got to admire and flirt with her husband (I LURVE menfolk) and since I naturally gravitate to men because of all my brovvers...I have become a regular tart when one comes in.  Even the carpet cleaner! 

Momma said these are two very dear friends. And we BOTH loved every minute of the visit and hated for it to end.    It was almost like having family as we, the friends and mom and me are of the same mind in many things.  

Mamma brewed real tea for them.  Turned out slightly cool when they got to it, but...it was wet!  Right?  Mom made sugar cookies, but they eat better than that.  She also found some Dutch cookies as well. So she gave them a choice.  Pieter had a sugar cookie and both had a little of the Dutch cookies.

They brought me, Katie, two little containers of seared salmon and their juices.  Their 5 kitties (all black) love it  and one mancat Dido sent it to me...

Best Stollen EVER! 

so I know when I have some tomorrow, I will too. 

And they brought some Stollen. I could not stand seeing mom wait, so I urged her to try some.  It was HEAVEN!  Mom said she can't make it as good as this.  It was German.

Here, I finished flirting all over Pieter, and finally extended my arm to Mariette!  

We hated to see them leave.  We are sending lots of love their way.  They will return to their home tomorrow.
