Pee Ess

Kitties, it was never the v-e-t-s I was meowing about yesterday.  It was inexperienced techs who scruffed kitties when not needed. I wanted to make that clear, as my meows may have been taken a bit differently by several dear furriends.  My claw points were meant to meow that if scruffing hurts you and there is no need for it, speak up.  If it continues, go somewhere else--- or, if you are at the last one in town as we are, get your mom or dad to keep saying "don't scruff" and go with us if needed.  Trust the doctor.  Correct the tech who uses scruffing, needed or not.  Wanted to make that clear.

We are having terrible wevvers and high winds so I am just curling up on the floor on my blankies listening to mommy's tummy growling. She's scary when she does that! And she complains about me growling when I need to!!

I brought Lion out of my room last night and he was in the hallway almost to the bedroom when we got up for the day.

Great sunpuddle at the threshold to the kitchen.  Next to my FOODS!
Mom said she wears her kitty slippers that can be seen here, most of the time indoors.  They are pink.  A tribute to me, a girl kitty.

We didn’t think that sweet Katie, but they do take their instructions from the Vet. Be safe, we are supposed to have some nasty weather too.

TBT wears camo slippers when he is in for the night. Its a guy thing we suppose. We unnerstood what ya meant about scruffing. WE don't mind it (much) but we unnerstand that some kitties do.

BTW, you sure live in a nice place. We gotta get TBT ta improve ours. He's making a list...

Stay safe! Weather moving through here too, right now it's not bad. I really like that tapestry over the table, I love medieval style.

Vets and staff... Need to always remember their efficiency and schedule are not more important than their patients. One careless, impatient moment on their part can doom a poor feline to a lifetime of misery and fear at the vet.

Whiskeratti! YOU said it all, right there,. She was treated inappropriately emost times out of ignorance by very young "techs", and it got her so fearful it was an ordeal. And Admiral was terrified! TERRIFIED of going. Her moans and shrieks had me in tears before I could even get us out the house door. In the last 6 months of her life she had to go every week at least. Sometimes twice. It stressed me every bit as much as it stressed her, believe me. The Techs were not handling her well if I couldn't catch it. They did not mean to be...they just didn't know how to handle a gentle creature. But I told all those stories in Admiral's blog. It still makes me tear up.

Dearest Katie Isabella,
Going to the Vet can be very stressful.
The Mama cat that we rescued in Acapulco, she went to the Vet after she had her babies for some shots and together with Barty, the eldest and the most sweet kitty you can think of.
The idiot of a VET (!) used a jet injector! Poor Mama Spicy clung to the side of the table and wet herself. She had to be taken to the back to be cleaned. Barty was next and he was scared. On the way back home Barty had soiled his pet carrier as he'd produced 'stinkies' from FEAR!
Needless to say that we never saw that Vet again, she did not know what she was doing.
Good grief wat a panic and fear she caused.
So as a human parent, yes we have to watch out. But WHO would have thought she would use a jet injector and the NOISE it made. It scared both of us.
Hugs and hope you keep finding sun puddles. We had some in the morning, afternoon heavy rain + thunder. Now it is quiet again.

I knew you meant the technicians, Katie. Some of them, I wonder, how or where they were trained. Some don't seem to be too sympathetic to animals; perhaps just to cats. The doctors are usually a different matter.

Oh we know not everyone scruffs but if they do, and we don't like it, we should let them know for sure and our Moms can speak up too. We all take care of each other right? That's a great sunpuddle in your kitchen - I hope you got to enjoy some of it?

Hugs, Teddy

We had terrible weather, too, with very high winds and heavy rain. Fortunately we didn't hear thunder, so kitties were fine :-) That's a nice sunpuddle you got near your food! I hope you have a sunny week!

Do you ever play with your Mom's slippers, Katie?

Of course your mama has adorable kitty slippers! That's a no brainer, KI. Also, we are with you 100% on the no scruffing rule for the vet techs.

Love and licks,
Cupcake

Your mom's kitty slipper are so cute and they match your tunnel very well. You and your mom stay safe with all the weather that keeps moving in. We are supposed to have bad weather later today and tomorrow. Hugs and nose kisses
