V-E-T visit

Mom got me into the PTU and it wasn't easy as I kept jumping out.  But I never said a word and I stayed where she could pick me up again.  I bet it won't be that easy next time.

But we went..I was weighed and despite the barfing, I am 9.4 beautiful glossy pounds (my coat was complimented by the v-e-t.) So I gained from 8.9 to 9.4.

He is sure if I stick to a same regimen with my fuds I will eventually be OK.  I have heartworm meds to take as a preventive.  Mommy didn't want Advantage + because it wore poor Admiral out and made her very sad for several days after mommy tricked her into letting her apply it.  So we are sticking with the heartworm only.  Can't hurt.  Oh and I got my nails cut.  Mom says YEA!!

Mom is headed out to work out and leaving me to suck up air here by the airvent where I am shouting out what I want her to type. Good..when she's gone it gives me a break.

We'd never heard about the side effects of Advantage +. Would you believe that I actually let Glogirly give me my manicures? It's the ONLY time I allow her to hold me.

Sorry you had to go the v-e-t, but at least your mom has peace of mind now. :-)

Hope she comes back with presents for you, though, Katie, to make up for it!

That is great news that you are doing well in spite of throwing up - I hope the vet is right and that sorts it out eventually.

Congratulations on the weight gain. I know it must have been hard - with your tummy troubles and all - but obviously, your mommy & doctor have figured things out. Yeah for them! And your doctor sure is right about your coat. It DOES have a beautiful glossy sheen. GORGEOUS!

That is a great report, Katie. Just remember, eat slowly. Each of us has our throwups some of the time here, but it is never every day. Simba actually thewup a hairball into his dry fuds bowl the other day!!! Looked like a funny sausage along the side. Sorry if TMI.

Let's hope he's right cos most vets don't know what they're talking about. Your furrends always know better. Hmmmm, you didn't liberate my nip peppermint stick, did you? It's by far my favorite nip toy cos Pop got it for 1 penny with an order he placed. Mine is pretty flat now.

We're glad you are doing well Katie and hope the foods stay down from now on! We get manicures pretty much every week around here and we don't mind. Our sisfur Sadie though squeals when her feet are touched. She's a wuss but she gets out of manicures that way.

Any luck with the mousie traps?

We are glad your vet visit went well Katie. We used to get mopey with Advantage but we are okay with Frontline so mum uses that on us.

I'm glad that your V-E-T visit was very PAWSitive.

My Domino regurgitates frequently. I noticed that she tended to throw up dry foods that had a yellow tinge to them. The vet said that she could be allergic to the yellow dye in the food.

I now have kitty kibbles that are dark brown in colour and she seems to be fine with those.

Just a thought.

We're glad you have started the pre-vet visit game with your Mom - they need the exercise! We are delighted to hear will play tougher when you need to be PTUed in future.

Good for you, Katie. It wasn't a big weight gain, but it was progress. Gracie & Millie are indoor kitties and don't get fleas. When we adopted Millie, she just got a shot for fleas and we gave her ear drops for the ear mites. Gracie & Millie graciously allow us to trim their nails. Maybe they realize that if they did not allow us to do it, we would have to take them to the vet or to a grooming place. That is a very cute photo of you with your toys!
