Something Old

Mom was going through our saved emails and she found this poem -prayer.  She and I hope someone in the CB will like it.  We sure do.  Everyone is sleeping here.

Dear Admiral

Hopping John

Katie in her favorite position to sleep

Practicing sleeping on half + of the bed

Precious Admiral taking up the bed

Robin..the Matriarch who raised my sons. Missed to this day.

Pet Version of "Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep"

Now I lay me down to sleep.
The king-size bed is soft and deep.
I sleep right in the center groove.
My human being can hardly move.
I've trapped her legs, she is tucked in tight.
And here is where I pass the night.
No one disturbs me or dares intrude
Til morning comes and I want food!
I sneak up slowly and it begins,
My nudging's on my human's chin.
She wakes up slowly and smiles and shouts,
"You precious pest....5 more minutes, now cut it out!"
But morning's here and it's time to play.
I always seem to get my way.
So thank you, Lord, for giving me
This human person that I see.
The one who hugs and holds me tight
And shares her bed with me at night.

  2. Ooh, that poem is a lot like about me! I keep nudging toward the center of the bed and TBT ends up near the edge by morning! ~ IZA

  3. The Human can only *WISH* she had this problem! If I do deign to sleep on the bed, it is in the corner, as far away from her as I can get. I am most definitely NOT a nighttime snuggler! She loved the poem though.

Also, we loved the story of your guest. My Human thinks meeting other bloggers is the BEST!

  6. Sweet pictures! ❤️ The Staff can only wish I would settle on her bed! I go for ten minutes max and then I get really fidgety and have to go for a prowl. She says it is because I sleep ALL day. But every kitty knows night time is for hunting! Right? MOL

  8. Sweetest prayer ever, KI. And all completely true. I know Mom likes when I cuddle up with her because she always says, "Ugh. Shove over, chubby." That's good.... Right...?

    Love and licks,

  24. This is great. Mom still does the original every night before she starts on her prayer list. This describes every kitty that has ever lived here. Katie, your comments do come through.
