Caturday

Kitties,

I am still trying to get over having gone to the v-e-t office.  I only had my nails done and furs shortened in a critical area...ahem....but I disliked the experience more than I can say and I have not come home more distressed before.  I have refused to go back to my PTU  for resting the way I always do again  and I was sad for two days.  I am still not back to par.  But I am eating, drinking and using my box.

WE are watching a football game so I will go back in there with brovver who is visiting so I can watch the game with him and mom, and I will meow to you later.

  1. rest up - such experiences are never easy but somehow they are ultimately for our best. some cheesy treats might help, just a thought.

  2. Aww, that's not right, Katie. Maybe it was the furs trimming aspect that knocked you off kilter. I hope it will be lONG before that hapens again.

I NEVER go near my PTU.

  3. Katie do you think you could have a visiting vet come and trim your pretty claws instead of going out to have it done? Would that make it easier on you???

  4. We're so sorry to hear this. We know for us, as we get older each visit gets a little bit harder.

  5. I'm sorry you had such an unpleasant time, sweet girl.
There should be a luxurious kitty spa for those grooming needs.
Thank you for your kind words on my blog. We always love your comments!

  6. I hope you are soon feeling more like yourself after that ordeal of the vet visit. I quite like my vet because he makes a fuss of me and gives me treats. I don't like the travelling there and back though.

  9. We can imagine how traumatic the V-E-T was! We feel much the same about those trips - sending you purrs that the memory fades SOON.

  10. Oh Katie san, I'm so sorry that your vet visit was so unpleasant. There was one time Goro was really unhappy after the checkup. I could see he was very down and sad, which broke my heart. I hope you will be feeling better. Purrs to you. xo

  12. Oh I feel your pain (well...you know what I mean). The vet visits are sometimes not fun (alright - they're NEVER "fun" !) but we do eventually recover and carry on. I'm sure your brovver is glad you watched football with him and came out of the PTU to visit. Have a happy Sunday!

    Hugs, Sammy

  13. Oh, sweet Katie, you poor thing!
Isn't it strange, humans actually LIKE having their claws trimmed and their fur cut (despite having so little fur to begin with)! Why, before she DESERTED us earlier this month, Mummy went to have her head fur cut and styled and she also had a lady come here to the house to give her what, with Humans, passes for a pawdicure!
Oh, yes, the desertion? Well, later today, you will be able to read all about it on our bloggie.

  14. The vet can be very traumatizing, KI. Playing it cool for a while will make you feel better. And of course insisting you will NEVER go back is a great idea. ....till you have to go back.... Trust me. I know this.

  16. Poor sweet Katie. It makes me so sad that you had a miserable experience. Hopefully having brovver there will help take away some of the memory from the horrible experience.

  17. Oh it is so sad that you have to experience things you don't like but are necessary, even us humans have to experience things we don't like but are necessary

  20. My heart goes out to you sweetie!! I was humiliated at the Vet this week too! I went Thursday and they gave me a shot in my butt and a pawdicure as well. I kept "grumbling" at "Dr.Smiley", they said it "wasn't quite a growl, it was a GRUMBLE" What is wrong with our Moms that they keep doing this to us? Mom got her payback though....she got SUPER SICK and it started while she was at the Vet with me. She ended up having to get a shot in HER butt on Friday!!!!!!! Sweet revenge!
