I think Mom is Pulling a Fast One on Me.

Kitties, I think she is going over the mountains to visit my other favorite brovver for Mother's Day weekend.  I heard her calling my sitter who did say she would sit for me.  I like her I will admit that, and she is very kind to me and plays with me BUT!  I do NOT like sleeping by myself without my heated mommy blankie to press against!  I can't sleep without all the sweet things she says and the petting as we go to sleep.  I have been careful to bring Donkey and Floppy Mousie each night.  Donkey sojourned  on the floor at the foot of the bed last night between the big oaken chest and the footboards as he fell from my mouth as I came up onto the bed.  But that can't be why she is going away!  I am not a happy kittie.  Favorite brovver came to visit Friday night and stayed till Saturday night and that was NOT enough time for me to get all the kisses and petting in I wanted.

I am not a happy girl! Well, OK.  I am, but I still don't want her to leave and I want Brovver back!

  1. Oh dear, Katie. My humans have some travel plans too and when they go away they CLOSE their bedroom door in case I were to hork on the bed or rug. I hope your Mommy lets you have free reign of the bedroom. Maybe she can use pillows to make a fake Mommy in the middle of the bed for you to lie next to. It won't be the same, but better than nuffin'.

  3. Katie, we know what you mean.
We do not like it when mum goes away.
We are used to our routine too.
We bet your mom does not sleep as well when she is away.
Make sure she gives you lots of extra kisses before she leaves.

  12. Oh Katie dear girl, sometimes we must share our humans by letting them go away for little bits of time to visit.....it's not fair (I know!) but we have to be brave and know they will return and we will have things right in our worlds again. I'm glad you have someone watching out for you that you like - that makes it a bit easier!

    Love, Sammy

  14. Sorry Katie, I know you will have a rough night. Could your Mom take you with her or would you be too stressed?

  15. It does seem like cruel and unusual punishment for your Mama to leave you all alone with an attentive and loving sitter Katie! You will need to plan your revenge while she is away. We can help you with that . . .

  18. Poor sweet Katie! I hated it when M & D left me too. It's not right. Tell you what - we'll throw a big pawty. I'm sure Austin will help me and maybe some of the others too. We'll all bring something so she won't catch on with food, toys, and drinks around the house before she goes. Let's meet tonight in the tunnel and do some planning.

  19. We are sorry your human is leaving for a couple of days, Katie. We can't imagine what it is like to sleep alone - we wouldn't like it, either! We hope the time will pass quickly while your human is away so you aren't too sad.

  24. We just don't know how your mom can go away and leave you for even a few hours! You are so precious Katie! If she insists on leaving, we hope she has a safe trip but that she hurries home to you! Glad you got to spend last weekend with your favorite brovver though!

  25. If your brovver likes you so much, you should be able to go with your mommy! Per chance you don't like to travel--hmmmm?

  31. We think your favorite brovver should come over and stay with you! Or maybe I will come visit. I am very sad that William is Moving On. The Human and I know how hard this will be on his Mom and hope Screamoline and that good boy Elliott will be able to step up and comfort her and that the Little Boys keep everyone entertained. But we has the sads. They, like your Mom & the Admiral, were among our very first blog friends. It is a Hard Day. XOXOXOXOXO
