I'm Being Picky

Kitties!  Woofies!  I'm being a pill.  Picky she calls it when she's not calling me a pill.  I resemble that!

I lay down and press my warm furred back into her chesticles, purr like a buzz saw and then, spring up like my tail was pulled!  I go away, come back with toy # 1.   Spring into bed, fall down against her.  Fool her into thinking I'm staying and wham!  Up like a balloon and gone.  Toy # 2 is announced with much stateliness on my return.  Up onto the bed.  Several trips around her head, a few pulls of the pony tail, perhaps a munch and a few biscuits made in the night and plop.  Back down.  By that time she has fallen asleep so I go to my side of the bed.  I'm over coddling her now she is back from her trip.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.  No idea what HER problem is.

Oh!  One thing I know.  I was reading her texts a week ago and she has texted my Vet Tech Tiffany and asked that she arrange a date  for me to have a DENTAL! She asked Tiff to because I like Tiff and I may not scream quite as much at first if see there AND she will see to it that I don't get the long lasting anesthesia.  I don't know its name but it starts with a P.   I won't be worth a dime when I come home, no, but at least I should not be staggering around too badly I hope.  And Tiff can arrange it for when she is there.  Kitties, I have to say I need a dental really badly.  It's gone from questionable yellowing to real yellowing back at the molars.  Mom and I dread it but it has to be done.  I'll have an EKG and a pre surgical blood test too.

See the Bunny pawty I crashed?  They set a great table.  Eats were good too.

  1. But Katie, if you don't let your mommy get rest, she might be too tired to feed you! Then what?

  2. Hope you get plenty of naps during the day so you can keep up your nightly routine! I wake my mommy up as soon as she falls asleep so I can get under the covers. When she sleeps I get out and start the process all over again. It's exhausting keeping moms up at night! We hope all goes well with the teefs cleaning!

  5. Wow, I'd like to WHAP the stuff on that table!

You will be fine at your Dental darling, but Make Them Pay. Mommy should stock up on the Gerbers and the cream, and a few new toys would be thoughtful too. We can play UTB once you're awake. Don't let them steal your teefs! (Though I can't say I miss mine much.) XOXOXOXOXO

  8. D-d-d-dental!?!? I do not like the sound of that! I'm sure you will be home with bells on before you know it. Mom brushes my teeth every day, but she still says the word, "Have you been eating Cheez-Doodles when I'm not looking?"

    Love and licks,

  10. Oh no, not a dental! So she calls you a pill! When I am being a bit picky, my mum calls me Pilsbury the dough boy! Does that make us related?

  11. Well Katie, I know you dread the dental thingie but you'd MUCH RATHER have those toofies cleaned than pulled because of gum problems! I know you'll be brave.....and I know you'll get spoiled ROTTEN when you get home from having it! So it's ALL good.........really.

  14. Your night time routine should be on you tube. All us kitties could learn stuff from you!!

Now this dental business sounds like kitty abuse to me!! Can we not get up a petition or something? BTW I intercepted the postie guy the other day and there was a summons from my v-e-t for the annual ritual stabbing!! And THEY have the temerity to complain about our nocturnal sleeping arrangements!!!!! xxx

  16. Sorry that you need a dental, but it's really not too bad - really it's not. Tiff will see to it that everything goes well cuz she loves you too. Who couldn't love you - well, maybe except your mom when she wants to go to sleep - even then she loves you, but she can't fall asleep with you flopping around. he he I think you are still getting even with her for being gone. That's my opinion, and I'm sticking to it. SMOOCH

  31. We are sorry you have to has a dental soon, Katie. Rumor has it that Lita is going to be scheduled for one soon, too, but she doesn't know it yet, MOL. The Mom is taking her to the vet next week to discuss it all and to get her checked out. Hopefully they won't has to pull any of your teefers!

  32. Good luck with your dental work Katie, when I adopted Hannah her teeth were terrible and so asked the vet to clean her teeth and when she arrived home she had hardly a tooth in her head. The reason being she hadn't had any dental work done before she was adopted by me - now they have gradually just dropped out and she will eat just about anything as her gums have got hardened.

  33. Dearest Katie-Isabella,
It seems that kitties, like humans can't escape certain problems that just come their way... Glad you get treated though.
Yes, you all love to show love by jumping, talking and making biscuits, even if that means like acupuncture.
    Happy weekend,
    Mariette
