Sleeping in Other Places! Too Bad Mommy.

Well, I have taken to sleeping on the other side of mommy.  Actually filling MY side of the bed.  I won't lay up against her chest the way I did for so long.  OR, I head on down to her feet.  Then back to her back where I do put my feets against her through the blanket on the bed.  Don't know why I am not snuggling.  It's cold.  Sometimes I do try to get her off to sleep laying up against her chest for a couple of minutes.  I purr really hard and I'll wash her fingers when they stray near my mouth in the dark as she's petting me.  Then it's up UP and AWAAAAAAAY!

I did my thing this morning.  She fed me my favorite wet food and my usual dry and fresh water.  I ate half the wet and then,  what else...I went into the living room and horked on the couch arm, all down the couch arm to cover the fabric to the floor, onto the pretty wooden end table and the finally,
the carpet.

Of course this required her placing the big table lamp on the sofa and moving the table out and start cleaning.  THEN she got to go pour her coffee.  Usually I do all this just as she pours.  She got a break from that part today.

Soon we'll be headed on in to bed but I will walk around her head a few times, flop in the half moon area she carves out for me while she is on her side and then, lights out and off I go.  I'm busy.  Places to go, Kitties to see. I think Dai$y may come over and we will pool our resources and get some beautiful necklaces.

So, I'm not sure which mancat I will see first tonight.

  1. We will sometimes do the sleeping in other places thing with our Mommy and Daddy, too. It's good to keep the guessing, right Katie? ;)

  2. Wow, Katie, you sure put your mom through her paces--and all before coffee! I'm pretty sure mine would wait until after, unless it was something she stepped in!

  3. Oh how cute Katie! You sound just like my grandson, Jace. He keeps me on my toes too. I can never be sure what he's going to get into next. And, he's only 5 years old now. Love, love, love the story, gave me a good chuckle.

  4. Iza and I tend to get unner the blankies at night and push our toesies (clays) into TBTs tummy. Marley is much better and sleeps a few inches away. Gee, what fun is THAT? ~ AYLA

  5. Dearest Katie Isabella,
Oh, I know about all that too. They can love you so tender, or keep you awake half of the night and cause a lot of laundry at times by messing up their blankies too.
    Hugs,
    Mariette

  6. Kitties always change things up, just to confuse us humans I think.. Lately my three have been taking shifts, competing on who can block the most of my laptop screen so that I can hardly read, much less comment on friends blogs! Brats.. But the cuddles are nice!

  7. It's good to play hard-to-get, sometimes, KI. It will make your mom appreciate you more when you start cuddling again. Maybe she won't say, "Aaargh! Get offa me for 5 seconds!" ....Or is it only my mom who says that...?

    Love and licks,

  8. I try to be very thoughtful like you and do my horking BEFORE Mom gets her cup of coffee in the morning. I think it's nice to NOT interrupt her coffee with a hork. Good for you Katie my girl!

    Love, Sammy

  9. I go to bed with Niko every night, but he changes things from time to time, too. I'm very sad when he decides to sleep in other room! Sounds like you gave your mom a little break at coffee time :-) You are such a good girl!
Have a fun time Dai$y. Happy Wednesday!

  10. You are such a sweetie that it's hard to even imagine that mom could get mad at you. he he - you just like to keep her on her toes. That's what I do too - M can't fully depend on me to act a certain way or be in a certain place.

  14. Katie, our mommy is eating her breakfast and she nearly horked reading about your hork. MOL! We don't hork much, well, Bella has never horked ever but I save it up so it's a really good one every two months or so!

  16. Katie, snuggle your mommy a little tonight. We are sure she misses you snuggled against her. I have been snuggling up near the Mom lately, but I usually sleep by her feets.

  17. Katie, we can't believe it, but our mom is laughing as you describe mornings at your house. It's just like mornings at ours. Either Maurico or Lisbeth horks somewhere because they gobble their food so fast. Mauricio did it twice this morning: Right after he ate his stinky goodness and then after he ate some dry food to make up for horking up his other food. We give kudos to you for your strategic placement. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  18. Miss Katie, that was indeed very well placed yak!! Maybe you should try to do it in an even more inaccessible place next time! I did it once behind a chair when no one was around and it wasn't found for weeks - don't tell the Staff I told you that! Snuggling, of course, has to be done totally on our terms, so never let them get used to a particular time and place! I will be over at the usual time ;) xxx

  19. Good job, Katie! Everyone knows horfing on just one piece of furniture just will not do. We don't take this advice enough ourselves so we applaud you!

  20. That story made Mom wake up to the idea that the next couch they buy MUST be Hork-color. Fortunately the old carpet already is.

  22. You have reminded me that I haven't had a good hork in ages! What time is Austin arriving? I will make sure I arrive an hour earlier.

  24. Well, you sure keep your mom on her toes, don't you, Katie?

  25. I am sure you like to mix it up, but I bet your Mommy would love for you to cuddle. I get very upset when Sammy doesn't stay with me all night.

  26. Katie, it is always a good idea to randomly change-up our sleeping positions & even our favorite horking spots, just to keep the Humans on their toes. That was a 5 star hork you did this morning. You got it on just about every surface in the living room from the sofa to table to carpet. It was considerate of you to do it before your mom had even poured herself a cup of coffee. That way it didn't get cold while she was busy attending to cleaning up your hork-bomb. You must be ravenous after tossing up your breakfast. It might be a good time to see if you can cash in some sympathy chips for more food.

  28. Change is GOOD for humans - we wouldn't want them to get into a rut, now, would we?
