Furry Friday

Kitties, I am on strike I guess about snuggling all night with mom.  I always go right to her as soon as the light is off and then after about five minutes of petting, I leave.  I will bring some of my babies i.e donkey etc but I don't come up by her  after that.  I am at the foot of the bed.  Mom complains when I hem her in and complains when I don't!

Of course it's raining.  And a possibility of snow this weekend.  That makes mom sad as we live on a hill and we don't navigate well in snow.  Plus she has to shovel it.  And THIS year she can handle that whereas last year it was a struggle. and a kind neighbor just came over and did it twice after the two ice storms.  He must have seen her futilely picking at the snow and ice and giving up to go back in the house 'cause after that, he came over.  What a blessing that was then.

But she is better as can be now.

See you over at your place. Got nip?

  1. Looks like snuggle season at your place pretty Katie!

  2. Is it too warm for much snuggling? Or are you still worried about that orange intruder and are up guarding all night?

  3. We think it's our prerogative to come and go, take it or leave it, when snuggling just like it should be our Mom's prerogative to pet us when we're in bed... just as long as she keeps petting us until we say enough!

  4. Glad the Mom is all better. Katie, that is all right, cats have minds of their own and if you want to sleep somewhere else that is fine.

  5. I usually sleep with mom, too, but I like sleeping in other places once in a while. It is good for stimulating her mind wondering why.

  6. Katie, it's just about impossible with moms... they fuss if we do, they fuss if we don't.

  8. Katie I think Austin may be visiting you! Teehee!!

  9. Yep, we have nip and valerian too, come on over. :-)

Our biped likes it best when we come and sleep on the bed, but don't sleep on her head or keep clawing at her all night for pats (that would be Derry, all too often). Selfish, isn't she?!

  10. We've had rain and wind the past few days, but it's still pretty warm although it's supposed to get cooler next week.
    Stay warm!

  12. I'm glad you are coming over sweetie. I haven't been cuddling with M either - at least no up close. But I know it's not cold enough in the house and I can stay warm without cuddling. Hope you get mom straightened out on what she's supposed to do Katie. Gotta keep a firm paw on these humans.

  15. We can't have moms expecting us to act the same every night now can we? Sheesh! It was nice of you to let Austin come over to share your sunpuddle!

  16. Hmphhh!!! I see you didn't chase Austin off like you did when I tried to visit you!
I sleep on top of my mum until she is asleep, then I sleep in the recliner by the fire.

  18. Is that Austin? I bet you share your sun puddle and heart pillow with him.

I normally sleep at the foot of the bed only and the lady is happy about it. It took a long time for me to even sleep on the bed with her. Last night, however, I slept closer to her. She thinks it could have been due to being cold.

  19. I don't snuggle often with my human at night - she thrashes around a bit too much for me!

  20. Shoveling is hard work. I hope your mom does fine with it. Mom likes snow because a snowblower guy comes to clear it, plus she likes having an excuse to stay home with me.

  21. How nice that you have a neighbor who takes pity on your Mom! My Dad takes care of all that tough snow/ice stuff but Mom and I cheer him on from inside the house. As for snuggling at night - I did that when I was a youngster but these days I prefer sleeping on the floor - no jumping required!

    Hugs, Sammy

  22. Kitties do have their varying moods!

I hope some kind neighbor will help out if there is any snow.

  23. I am glad you have a kind neighbor to help your Mom. Sometimes my Sammy goes on strike and won't sleep on my head and it makes me sad. Even though it is hard to sleep with a 20 pound cat on your pillows, I prefer it.

  24. please tell Mom she shouldn't be shoveling snow OR ice on a hill! That was nice of the neighbor to come over to help. Isn't there a teenager or someone who could do it regularly? xoxo catchatwithcarenandcody
