Meowy Monday!

Kitties, Woofies, Donkey wasn't laughing...he was getting ready to bolt again but mom and I LOVED the idea to keep him in sight or at least within braying distance. and we are still laughing at 6 in the morning!  A pen for him to stay in, a LEASH (Celestial Kitties) the GPS and the microchip  plus relationship counseling by Austin as he seems to want to run away!  WE both loved these great ideas and don't know why we didn't think of those ourselves.

Today, Donkey is in the bedroom where I brought him.  He still reposes there and will be taken back by mom to his playground in the living room here shortly.

We have a new Mac that is waiting for other favorite brothers (both) to show up and use the Time Machine (and 3 TB backup drive) to set the new guy up. This guy is good but working on 5 years of age. He's slow.  I have been LOVING the boxes strewn on the floor here.  I will have all three brothers and my sister too plus Sticky Person on Christmas.  I may have to retire to one of the boxes!

Last night something startled me while on mom's lap and I leapt off.  I left a really impressive set of hind paw scratches on mom's upper leg.  She hurried and washed them, applied antibiotic ointment and a bandage but the scratches hurt some today.  I didn't mean to, Kitties.

I'm going to help mom now.  See you over at your place. XXoo

  1. Precious accidentally left our Mom some scratches like that today too. She's all washed, doctored, and bandaged up, also.
Merry Christmas and once again, thank you for checking in on us.

  2. Sounds like there is a lot going on at your house. Glad you've been able to keep the wandering Donkey from getting lost.

You too will get slower as you get older, Katie...that's what happens! :-)

Sometimes one of our kitties will get startled and leave scratches...it happens.

  3. Oh Katie, I know those scratches were not on purpose. Sometimes when we put it in 4-Paw Drive we really get some traction!

  4. You're going to have lots of company on Christmas! You'll certainly need a box to retreat to! I've accidently scratched my mommy too after being scairt. She didn't get mad either since she knew I didn't do it on purpose just like you didn't. We hope your mom heals up quickly!

  6. Oh Katie! You accidentally hurt the mommy!! But I know you didn't mean it! Like I didn't mean to bite and scratch my human uncle the other day! Well he did try and move me from my place of repose! What did he expect? MOL I think I saw Donkey on the list of the ten most wanted, down at police headquarters! Donkey is now official! ;) ❤️❤️❤️❤️

  7. My human says she could use a new Macbook - the E, I, N and M letters on the keyboard are worn out! Worst is the S, of course!

  8. Wow that is fabulous a new Mac, know you will love it when it's all set up and ready to rumble. Katie I know you didn't mean to leave deep impressions with your Mom, I did the same thing to my Mom's finger but she grabbed my toy and I did too at the same time, guess who won? ME!!! Wooo hoooo

  11. Sounds like you have Donkey well under control, Katie. I hope your mum's scratches heal quickly. I often do that to my mum, but I launch myself off her chesticles and that is where she gets her scratches.

  12. Of course you didn't mean to scratch your Mom like that. Accidents happen. We're sure you'll take good care of her until she heals back up, right?

  13. Ah, Donkey, we don't know why you aren't very happy, but hope that the relationship counseling fixes things right up. Really too bad about your Mom, Katie, but they understand, scratches happen. We're sure it will heal soon. Just be extra nice to her.

  14. I'm happy to hear you are putting your paw down with how to handle Donkey. I think both a pen and chain are in order for that wandering boy. Hmmm, maybe he had a girl donkey friend over in the next block? You had better put bars on the windows and lock all the doors too.

  15. We know you didn't mean to scratch your mom, Katie. Maybe you could give her Donkey to make her feel a little better. :)

  16. We like the idea of a corral (play pen) for Donkey! He can run and kick and canter to his little heart's content - that is, until it's Katie time. MOL!

We're glad you have so much wonderful family (and a huge selection of boxes). You are one fortunate girl kitty. Plus, your Mommy loves you too much to not forgive you. She just has to be extra-careful, is all.

  17. LOL relationship counseling is a really good idea! I hope it'll work out for you and Donkey!
About the scratch, I know your mom knows that you didn't mean it :-)

  19. Katie, Donkey is really misbehaving! Sounds like you have him under control though. Counseling should be the best treatment.

  22. You are blessed to have help with the PC. I have been on my own. The paid techs did not seem to be much better. Still trying to get on track!
Those scratches can hurt. I hope they heal quickly! Take care. XO.

  25. Dearest Katie Isabella,
Oh, once in a while we all have to heal from such accidental scratches. Never meant to happen but kitties have paws and sharp ones!
Good luck with your new Mac, it is a very different thing but you will work it out. You're lucky that your brothers are there in person to guide you. My youngest brother did give me some pointers but long distance and since his Mac had all the info in Dutch, it did not really help me a lot.
I got some books from Amazon but as often, the things you need to know most, are not really to be found...
Also need to go back to the Apple Store at Perimeter Mall in Atlanta for another One to One session. It is quite a journey for taking your entire Apple over there. We strap the box onto an old fashioned luggage cart on wheels... At least no toting around and its secured well.
Merry Christmas to all of you!
    Hugs,
    Mariette

  26. Oh my darling! I had no idea that Donkey had been so norty. My little friends hide from me all the time and lots of times we just never see than again. I hope Donkey is not going to do that!!!

So I have had a lot of trouble bending the Human to my will lately. After all the hysteria of final exams and end of semester craziness. she kind of went into burrow mode for a few days and now she needs to get it together as she is leaving town for a few days. She *says* she will be back on Sunday and she *says* the aunties will visit--but maybe you could come over when the three brothers and the sister and the sticky little one get to be just TOO MUCH? We can have the whole place to ourselves and do lots of stuff and then curl up and snuggle? What do you say??? XOXOXOXOXO

  27. I'm sure your mommy knows you didn't mean it, Katie. It's just so easy for a kitty to forget that human skin is so much more delicate. And if you were startled, well, that's hardly your fault!

  28. Sweet girl!!! Our entry form is FIXED!!!!! We are so sorry!!!!! It was Mom's fault (and our cable/internet provider), it is working now! Please come back and enter! xoxo catchatwithcarenandcody
