Good Grief!

That's what mom said so many times.  I was all over the bed last night cause I am feeling in top form after my course of medicine.

I chose about 5 am to sit on her pillow and crowded her head to the very edge.  I purred so that made it OK as she could hear it through my body into her head.  I was pressed up against her tightly.  My elbow was pressing against her closed eye! She moved it an inch or so.  All I would allow.  I kept trying to lick her face and her hair and hand.  Hand licking occurred when she weakly raised it to move my face away from hers and her hair.  My face hovered right above her head. That moving my face never worked. I was a prime pest for a good hour.

This morning she picked up the toys I brought in and tossed them onto the bed.  I had THE best time grabbing and tossing them in the air and running on top of the bed.  I feel SO good now.  There for the longest I was in my bed not long after breakfast.  Now, I eat a good meal and play!  My litterbox has contents that are good to see Mom said considering I was such a worry for a time.  It was worth every penny to pay someone to pill me for 14 days.  I feel like a million right now.

Just sayin'.

pee ess:  Hummingbird TV channel seemed to be missing for a week and mom said she was going to take the feeder down and disinfect and store it.  Yesterday through the incessant cold rain, there was a girl hummingbird out there all bent over against the rain on the tiny branch mom has out for them to rest on while they guard their feeder.  Mom put on her raincoat and went straight out to get the feeder and refill it again with her nectar she'd made.  Mom and I have been looking for the girl hummingbird but we haven't seen her.  Mom said it was worth going out there to refresh her nectar regardless of the rain.  Poor girl..  We hated seeing her so wet.

  5. Katie, I hope my trip to the vet this Tuesday will make me feel like you. I am so tired of having an upset tummy, acid reflux that makes me upchuck...sigh

  6. Sweet Katie, I've forgotten what I was going to say about how glad I am you're feeling so much better and how much I'm laughing at the mental image of you hovering over your momma and licking her and ALL that, because all I can see are your gorgeous feets! I've gone just a little bit fainty!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Our bird TV has been off a lot lately...too much rain and wind! I hope your hummingbird will be back. She sure will enjoy the nectar your mom made.

  9. We are so happy you are feeling so great, Katie! Sorry to hear about your hummingbirds being MIA. Do you think they've flown south for the colder months?

    Hugs!

  10. Glad you are feeling so much better, Katie. It was nice of your mother to fill the hummingbird feeder in the rain for just one bird.

I cuddled with Jan last night. Slept much of the night under the covers, even when Marcus jumped up and landed on me. Jan kept saying, Good boy, Micah, thanks for keeping me company. Ha! Is she blind?

  18. Dearest Katie Isabella,
Oh my, our Barty does give the exact treatment to his Mami and preferrable at a very early hour too! You see, kittens get breakfast around 7:00 AM and all they do is sleep after that... Never mind waking up their humans by working their hair or jumping all over them!
But so glad you're able to DO this again. Great reading for World Animal Day.
Poor hummingbird girl, yes we are also living through this miserable cold and rainy weather. Wednesday it is supposed to warm up again and be sunny. Hope the hummers will survive this ugly time.
    Hugs to you,
    Mariette

  25. It is good that you are feeling so frisky, but give poor Mom a break! :-) The hummingbird channel is off in our area, too. Ron hasn't put away the feeder yet, but we don't expect to see hummingbirds again until next spring.

  37. squeeeee, Katie toes! SO glad you're feeling so much better!!! Leo says he's going to pop over tonight with a bag of temptations for you to celebrate (he wont eat the temptations himself, so all for you!)
I just watched a video on hummingbirds about how much they love showering in the rain, but can't take too much time to enjoy it because they have to eat every 15 minutes, so the fact that you had food for her out IN the rain probably made her very happy!

  41. Darling, do you know how stoopy my Human is? She waked up when her alarm wented off at 5:45; she turn it off and thought to herself, "Well, I am just going to close my eyes for another minute..." and the next time her eyes popped open, it was a whole hour and a half later! Oopsie! She *almost* forgot to give me my breakfast--what a tragedy THAT would have been, don't you think so??? Would you like to come over later? Mrrrrow

  45. Leo says: Hi hi Katie! Thanks for letting me bring over those temptations for you! Wanna come hang out in my mancat cave next time? I can steal, I mean, ask mom for more treats for you! Thanks for remembering the story I posted today. Ya know, even though we didn't get along, I sorta miss that cranky ol' lady cat. I got some excellent stories outta our interactions! See you later Katie!
