Nope, ain't gunna doit.

Nope.  The good times done rolled.  I was glad to see Tiffany come to the house for nail cutting but now, as predicted I am not.  Last night I scurried under the end table but the tech is young and agilel and simply pilled me under there.  Mom would still be trying to get up, so I wish it had been her.

What my problem is, is unknown because I sure am NOT being hurt,  It takes 1 second to do.  Gees, I feel better!  But oh no.  I have to act all offended like I'm going to be cooked for supper or something.

Guys, if a case of wet food sits in the back seat of the car for 2 weeks, is it still good even though the car gets hot inside while sitting?

I was NAUGHTY last night.  I kept running in and jumping up onto mom's back and shoulders while she was on her side sleeping.  Then, I chewed her hair till she put her hand up and then, I licked it.  I did this four times.  Brovver was/is here and still in the living room.  Mom goes to bed earlier.  I ran like a crazy girl.  I feel GOOD!  Even if I hate seeing the messenger when she gets here.

  3. I always complain when it is time for my twice daily meds Katie. I run into the bedroom and moan at my mum when she picks me up. I am very good when she does it though, then I swagger off with my tail in the air as if I couldn't care less.

  4. Our Treasure hates pills the most and he is hard to catch ;)
It takes a while before mom can even pet him too.

  5. Maybe, and I'm not saying you are, but maybe you like to be just a tiny bit of a drama queen? Nah. That's not it. I would always try to hide and cry when I was on regular medicine and I wasn't being hurt and always got treats after.

We are just so glad to hear how well you're feeling, Miss Katie. That's the best news ever! Also, the lady thinks that if the cans themselves look ok (tops not bulging, etc.) and the food smells like stinky goodness, they should be fit to eat!

  6. Well, it IS good news that you are feeling more chipper, Katie. I don't blame you for hiding from Tiffany. Good thing she is agile though. Geez, you should have seen how hidey I was the other day just because they wanted to put me in my PTU to get me to the VET for a blood sample! And how suspicious I acted about Mom for the rest of the day. BTW, my T4 is good.

  11. Well Katie love, you were really wound up last night - both for the vet tech and after mom got in bed. Yikes. You don't sound like the Katie I know - well, maybe a little bit - well maybe a lot now that I think of it. Now I wonder what you did tonight when she came to pill you! M says most of her kitties also caught on to the pill routine and would lead she and D on a merry chase. Now they getting too old to move fast enough to catch me, but I'm not getting pilled, so don't have to worry about it now. You will have to have them sweetie - you have to get all better.

  12. M just had a thought - tell mom to give you a treat right after the pilling. Maybe that will make it go better. In fact, they can show you the treat before you get the pill. M did that last night to get me to jump up by the scale. Milk it Katie - extra treats for the day.

  13. Binga is even worse about pilling than you, Katie - she ACTS like she takes it and then spits it out a few minutes later! My human has given up on her and when she needs meds she gets them other ways.

  15. Katie dear, do you chew on your mommy's hair a lot? Because I was just reading about a cat who wound up with a belly full of human hair, which made the kitty not feel well but, of course, doesn't show on any xray.. If this was a first, well then it's not your problem, but I thought I'd put it out there just in case.

  16. Well, the important thing, Miss Katie, is that you feel good. Some of us just don't like being pilled and that is that.

  17. Poor Katie....pilling is awful isn't it? My Mom just grinds the pill up into powder and sneaks it into a fingerfull of NOMMY baby food. Sneaky huh? I'm a real sucker for that baby food so I have my pill every single morning. At least for now - but we don't want our humans to think we'll cooperate EVERY time! Glad you're feeling perky though - stay that way OK?

    Hugs, sammy

  18. Hiding under the table is always a good plan. Don't be embarrassed. Humans expect it.

  19. Hahaha, I have to say my boys *think* they are hurt when they get pilled. Sorry you have to endure it, but I'm so happy you are feeling better. Reading that you were naughty and active made me smile :-) I hope you'll make a full recovery quickly, and won't need meds soon. Have a great weekend xoxo

  20. We hope you get used to the pills Katie and your Mommy will be able to medicate you more easily (for both your sakes!).

  22. Thank goodness that Maggie & Chloe Jo don't fight their meds! Maggie just sits there. Chloe Jo doesn't mind her pills, but she especially loves the flavoured gel! It is a good thing because they will be getting these for the rest of their lives. For that, I am very grateful. Glad you are better, Miss Katie!

  23. Mom L and Dad P plot for days about how and when to pick me up to clip my claws...and I never ever bite or scratch. Just afraid of being held

  24. Maybe you just don't like being restricted by the vet tech, Katie. Gracie and Zoe like hugs, but freak out if their heads are confined. Maybe you are the same way?

We are SO happy you are feeling better, sweet girl. We send love to you and Mommy!
