Part Two:

Kitties!  The lady at the rescue said that the mother cat accepted the baby and that he was nursing when she wrote to mommy on FB.  She also said it's a boy, and that he has teefs!  So he is also getting some canned food. She said he was more like going on four weeks of age but very very skinny and anemic due to blood loss from flea infestation.  But he is warm now, nursing and she said he will be catching up soon with where he should be.  Mom is just glowing she is so happy.

Now, about ME!  Last night we went to bed and sometime in the small hours, mom, who was three quarters NOT on her side, (she is a side sleeper) felt me as I was  climbing atop the sheet and between her ankles, and pushing them away with all my might.  My arms and my legs were both stretched out and I was pushing with both ends to get her silly ankles and calves out of the way so I could be comfortable between them!  She laid there awake (thanks to my efforts) Kitties, and callously allowed me to push and strain to get a comfortable ankle- less place to get a decent nights sleep!  Did she help me by moving her ankles?  Simple answer is NO!

So I finally succeeded in moving them with my mighty strength and settled.  She laid there minutes until she couldn't any more and had to turn onto her side!  After ALL that work I did, she forced me out of my nest!

OH!  And no wonder Donkey has NOT been brought in, in three nights!  She doesn't deserve him.

Here I am, all in my bikini asleep in front of my puzzle box!  She doesn't deserve seeing me!

  1. Oh Katie, you are adorable. We love your sleeping pose with your little legs all stretched out. Hey, just think of all the good strengthening exercise you got pushing against your Mom! We are sure you'll be able to use that strength you gain to your advantage...later!
    Hugs, pretty girl!

  2. Katie, we're thrilled the little one is doing well, we have our paws crossed he'll thrive and then find a wonderful home in due course.

And we're impressed with your efforts to settle yourself in bed, though your human really ought to have been far, far more considerate of your needs.

  3. We are so happy for the little one! Your mommy just got lots of plus marks with the guys watching Over the Rainbow Bridge!
I curl up with Mommy when she settles down for the night, get my cuddles and leave for my own room. I have my own nighttime bed, ya know!

  4. Katie we are so thrilled that the kitten is doing so well. It's that old adage we can't save them all but we can save one at a time and your Mom helped do just that. Bless that rescue for taking him. Miss Katie Mom says last night Boo did nearly the same thing just as she was trying to get comfortable and then Boo acted like she was gonna bring up a hair ball so Momma made her get up. She didnt but Mom slept cat less last night for the first time in ages.

  20. We are so glad fer the little kitty! How lucky that yer Mom was there.

We all try ta sleep with TBT too. I (Ayla) squeeze between his knees when hes not on his side an he doesnt like that much. Iza tried to drape over his hips. which is fine until he needs to move. Then she allus makes the mistake of holdin on with her claws slighty out. Marley is best at it. He gets unner the covers but not touchin TBT.

  22. That is a very happy story about the baby boy--we like to think of him clean and cared for and nursing. Nice to know there are good peeps in this bad old world. Your Mommy helped save his life, Katie, so I think you have to cut her some slack on the ankle dealio.

I am finally feeling better, my sweet--thank you for visiting me--it helped! Maybe I'll come there tomorrow night??? XOXOXO

  30. What wonderful news sweet Katie. We are so happy that little guy has a mama now to nurse and watch over him. Sounds like you have your mom well in hand and did good making your nest. Maybe pretty soon she will deserve to see you and your donkey again. Don't be too hard on her though, she is a very sweet mom. Hugs and nose kisses

  38. We hate it when our humans think the bed belongs to them and dislodge us after we have gotten comfy. Bad mommy. No wonder you are sleeping on the floor. XO, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
