Monday Washday...Tuesday Tuxie Day Heeee

Kitties, my mom took the litter box out  this afternoon to wash it thoroughly, both top and bottom.  (I have to have a hooded box as some of you may remember I was not squatting well and tended to overspray the box top edge.  Mom had a lot of pee to clean up till she finally got a clue.

Anyway, it was---of ALL things---65 degrees out there today.  Hard to believe we woke to another snow YESTERDAY! She hooked the hose up, emptied my box and gave it a good cleaning outside.  Man, it needed it too.  Whew.  Mom uses Precious Cat litter in an effort to cut down on that horrible choking cloud of dust every time I use my facilities, and every morning when she cleans the box out.  CLOUDS of dust that coat our lungs and the kitchen!  WHY in the world litter makers can't cut down on that harmful to us and our humans dust and charge moms more for a better litter is beyond me.   So, I have a clean box to use and I am happy.  And mommy has switched to Precious Cat litter. No, mom wasn't compensated.  It's a personal opinion.

Kitties, here are a few fuzzy pics of me LOVING every SECOND playing with my gift from King Spittola a week ago.  These are awesome toys!  I LOVE the silvervine in them and I can't get enough. You have already seen me with my long kickaroo which I love.

But I also love stalking my knot.  Oh kitties, I even untied the knot I play with it so much.  Here I am VERY early before mom worked out today, stalking and killing my knot!

and my heart...Oh, my word!  LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Thank you King Spitty for these fabulous toys and for supporting Winnie's Wish.  Star and Leo's mommy sure knows how to make these and they are all made my hand, kitties.

Go to Celestial Kitties and find the link.  xoxoxoxo

  1. We use Arm & Hammer litter and it has no dust. We know what you mean about choking on dust though. It took us a while to find this one. (We've used Precious Cat Litter and love it but it's kind of expensive.)

Katie, you are so cute with your toys! I'm off next to check out those toys and fundraiser.

  2. Dust - the bane of the kitty potty. I setup a small air filter that activates by motion sensor. So when the cats go in the box it comes on and runs for five minutes - it's helped to cut down the dust a lot.

Those look like fun toys you got there! Nice of Spitty to share!

  3. Katie, we switched to Precious cat litter too a couple of years ago after the mom saw what the other litters were doing...leaving a coat of dust on everything! And we like the Precious Cat because it doesn't smell perfumy. No we weren't compensated either, we just like the litter. :)

  4. I don't use my litter box unless I am desperate. I prefer the greenhouse, but mum wishes I wouldn't go in there.

  5. Our Mommy hates that yucky dust, too!

You look so adorable with your new toys, Katie! We'll have to hound our Mommy to get us some.

    Happy Tuxie Tuesday, sweet girl!

  6. Always nice to have a really clean facility. Your lucky, I have to go outside and it's not nice out there right now. My legs are so short and my belly rubs in the snow.

  7. We have to clean out our facilities once a week with thorough washing. There are three of us using 3 litter boxes. our mom needs to be kept occupied or else she would have more time to spend lazing about!

  10. Goodness, Katie, that sounds like a lot of dust. We use Tidy Cats, which doesn't raise too much dust. We used to have a top on the larger litter box, but we suspected that Gracie didn't like it, so we removed the top and the kitties don't mind. Love the pictures!

  11. Maybe we should try Precious Cat. Isn't the weather weird? We had snow for 2 days last week, and there is supposed to be snow & sleet tonight but then it will get up into the 40s tomorrow. It's the first time we've been about freezing since early January, we think. The furnace has been running without stopping all this time. Ugh! Where is spring???

  13. Our litter is dusty, too, but we can tolerate that because we like it so much.

I'm sorry FOM was mean to you! We've got a form there if you want to fill it out to tell us what happened and I'll get my mom to help.

  14. Yeah, that litter box stuff. P.U.
The lady tried some wheat litter. She gave it a good try for couple of months, but didn't like it.

Hey, I just got a silver-vine toy from Andrea, too! I never tried it before and it is great! I love it! I also got some catnip toys to give to friends since I don't like catnip. That was nice of King Spitty to send you those toys.

  17. Hello my precious darling girl! I am happy you like our toys--I like to play with them to, when I come over. Like maybe later tonight? Could we share the kickaroo? I don't usually like those much, but if YOU were on the other side of it, it might be a lot more interesting. XOXOXO

  18. We've never used clumping litter before. Especially since most of us joined the family as kittens. Mommy was worried we would eat the litter.

We use recycled newspaper pellets (they don't clump, no dust, no fragrance) with a special litter box so it's very economical and clean. :) Well, enough of litter talk, are you ready to come over to celebrate Whisky's birthday? :)

  22. Mum washes our litter boxes every day (we have two). Lucy prefers to go outside if it's not raining and she has a large play sand latrine which Mum rakes over and puts the solids down the toilet - it rarely smells as it rains so much!! Hannah will not go outside as she doesn't like to get sand between her toes.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx

  26. That was nice of your mom to clean your facilities. We have dust all over here but we're picky about our litter. Mommy says we can try your brand though and see if we'll use it especially since it's not perfumy which we hate.

  37. Sweet Katie we have been trying to eliminate litter dust too. We have tried just about every litter we have found in the stores. We have not heard of Precious litter but we will check that out. With three cats and three boxes though we may not be a bit expensive for us...we will see. You look so cute enjoying all those fun toys. Hugs and nose kisses
