Mommy was Rood to me!

Mommy was rood to me last night Kitties!  I was finally up there curled in the place she prepared having decided to forgive her for allowing me to hork on our bed and make it unacceptable.  It does not matter one whit that the sheets were changed again and etc.  I slept away from my place.  But Kitties, last night I settled right in the place she prepared for me and what happened?  Her nose went into overdrive and she thought she smelled a very unpleasant odor.  She assumed it came from ME!  ME!  She used the light from the clock to see if I was toting any extra "baggage" if you will, but I was not, Kitties.  The N-E-R-V-E!  Her sniffer got active again as soon as she laid back down and this time she got UP!!! And turned on the light!!! There I was looking all relaxed and totally adorable all stretched out and sleepy.  There SHE was standing there examining me!  I got up and LEFT her insulting self standing there and went to my crows nest!

She went back in, tried to settle and she tossed and turned and never did figure what that.. um..unpalatable odor was.   (mom here..I could find no source and it went away as quickly as it came.  Something coming thru the hot air vent?  Who knows).

Meanwhile I did come back.  I laid on her other side but finally I went to her front side where once again, there was a place prepared.

She has a black heart to so accuse me of an odor!

  1. You are quite right, Miss katie. That was indeed a little bit rude, especially that we are sure that you always smell of roses!

  3. MOUSES! Imagine your mum blamin' you for whatever it was smellin' up the place.

You know... at my house... when someone makes a little skinky like that, I blame my marmalade brothers. Usually is them, anyway, so it makes sense to point the paw in their direction.

  4. Tsk tsk tsk. That was quite rude of your Mom to assume the smell came from you.

You know what? Mommy did exactly the same thing to me just 2 days ago. She carried me then proceeded to say something smelt *off* and started to sniff ME all over! The nerve!

  15. Katie! Are you upside down on that couch in the sun?? Oh I can see where this picture is going to go.. as soon as Leo stops fogging up my screen!
I hate to say it, but my sweet, petite, darling little Star will sometimes bring the scent of 'stuff from the box' with her when she races into the room when she finishes... no clingons.. just bad air, holy smokes! She, too, gets all indignant if anyone mentions it.

  21. No way did that odor come from you!

We have a saying here in Ok-lee-homa: Whoever smelt it, dealt it.
    BWAHAHAHA!

  22. Oh Katie! We know you could never be the source of that smell. Your mom must have had a momentarily lapse of sanity. ;)

  25. Oh dearie me.....how could your Mom think YOU could pawsibly have produced an odor of any kind other than "sweet kitty" ?????? I'm glad you forgave her though.

  26. Katie, Daddy said Stella smelled like a wet dog recently. It hurt her feelings, too. What else is a dog who is covered in snow supposed to smell like?? She was fine once dry. She is groomed professionally once a month! ~xo~

  27. Oh no Katie! Maybe it WAS coming from outside. I'm sure your Mom didn't mean to offend you. It's just that it makes it hard to sleep with stinky odor around. One night last spring there was a skunk right outside our front bedroom window. It was mating season, Katie, and that's all i have to say about that!! Hugs sweetie..

And a little PS.. i have a new bloggie all about reading and my three kitties! Have a lovely day, and hi to your Mom!

  28. To paraphrase Shakespeare, Katie doth protest too much, methinks. Something in the air, perhaps, yes. :-)

  29. Sometimes moms suddenly develop Super Snout that makes them smell things that aren't there!

  33. Oh, sweet Katie how could anyone ever be rood to such a sweetie as you, we think your mom did not intend to be rood. But then we are surprised too that she would think a stinky odor could come from you. Something as sweet as sugar could never be stinky, right? Hugs and nose kisses

  34. Sometimes, Katie, cats leave behind a little of themselves where they shouldn't. My Josie does that from time to time, but she's much better than she was. And she's rather large, so she can't reach where you can. So I'm sure your mum was mistaken.

  35. Yep, that happens to me, too. And I'm ALWAYS inno-scent! xxoo Bhu
