Are You There? Mom? Mom? Hello?

Kitties, at 0555 this morning I hopped lightly onto the bed and licked mom's eye lashes.  Not letting that stand on its own, although that was a stellar move if I declare so myself...I thought perhaps a little refreshing wash would be good.  I began with her forehead.

I haven't any idea why but her hand rose and interfered with my ministrations to her comfort!  What rudeness!

Last evening before bed.

I moved on to give her a haircut.  She sleeps in a pony tail and I find the bundles hair to be in just the right position or situation rather, to be barbered. Kitties, I was brushed aside! Seems that nothing I do is good enough for the furless one lying there!

However at 0610 she gave up and got up though not with the proper attitude.  There were no whispered "good morning" greetings, no pets and no holding.

Sometimes you can just be too good to them, Kitties.

  5. LOL! I don't know why your mom didn't show appreciation for your service. But I'm sure she loved it so you should do it again :-)

  6. Katie, the only language they understand is violence, those peeps. Just the sound of me in the doorway of TW’s room is enough for her to JUMP outta bed. She knows if I have to come in and jump on the bed, she’s gonna be reaching for the Bacitracin. Can you believe I didn’t bother her this morning until after the Pop ritual? I let her sleep until 7 am.

  7. Oh Katie; that gave me a laugh. Oreo wakes me that way and I try to hold him off too. Sometimes we Moms just have to have a little more sleep.

  8. If any of us tried that with Mommy, she throws us out of the room and shuts the door! :p

  9. Hello Ms. Katie Isabella! Spunky loves to wash mom's face and forehead when she goes to bed at night. She said her skin is so exfoliated when he done! He will also wash random hairs.

  19. Katie, I personally think that's just too cute! You know, my mom does that ponytail thing at night too. In the old days, mornings Russell used to get on the counter next to her and comb it for her while she waited for coffee to finish brewing!

  28. Moms! What are we going to do, Katie?

PS the Dd problem you mentioned on House Panthers - my woman gives us an evening primrose oil capsule once a week. She may also try pure coconut oil in our food for our dry itchy skin.

  30. What an outrage! Her lack of appreciation should count heavily against her when it's time for our staff review. Say, it's been FOREVER since I gave the Human a good performance review. I think the time has come, don't you?

  32. Well Katie, all you can do is TRY.....if she doesn't understand the love and caring that go into those little demonstrations of love, well - you can't help that!

  33. Awwww! You're so good to your meowmy, sweet Katie! I lick MomKatt a lot - I always give her kisses - and she loves them! Though the pawrents keep their bedroom door closed, or else we keep DadKatt awake, so I can't wake her up like you do your meowm. Morticia is the only kit allowed to sleep with MomKatt 'cause she doesn't bother DadKatt or keep him away or stomp on his head like Peppers does.

    Love
    Selina
