Here is What the Youngest Human Brovver Said

Kitties, Woofies, here is what youngest brovver said.  Now he is a Computer Engineer and herds Programmers plus does some himself as well.

He said I may need to order ice-cream for my Humble Pie I said I would be happy to eat if I am wrong.

I showed it to him while we were waiting somewhere this morning and he said that I would:

1.   Have to create a profile for evil Google+

(NO way will I do THAT).

2.  To get *shudder  ewwwww  shudder* Chrome, I would have to actively download it.

He thinks I can just go ahead and log in with their scary looking log in and be safe from needing to have my computers etc exorcised.

So, pass the Humble Pie...and a big fork..I am ready to eat.  Now, if he's wrong, he'll never hear the end of it from me.

  1. Yep I had a problem with my iPad a while ago.

I had to update settings. And it really sucked! Because It messed up my iPad look! I really hate it though.

    The ice cream sounds good......

  2. I have never gotten that "command" from google and not sure I would appreciate it, either. They should let you use what you want to use and not force you to use what you don't want.

  3. I will be interested in how all that turns out. It should be all right. I sure hope it works for you. Take care.

  4. We are laughing...Mommy feels about Macs like YOUR Mommy feels about Google!

Peeps are weird. As long as we can still blog with you we're happy!

  5. Humble pie and ice cream together sound pretty goo!! xx

  6. Ice cream is yummy! And humble pie a la mode has fewer calories than 'regular' pie. Lol. We all have to wat it once in awhile Katie. I need to do it on my bloggie too. In the last couple of weeks, i was so upset about our govt, i broke my vow never to talk about politics on my bloggie.. and talked politics on bloggie. I'll bet my grandmother in Heaven was upset with me. She always said politics and religion should never be discussed in polite company. Anyway, from now on on bloggie, only pics of flowers, my kitties and some piems and little stories written by me!

Maybe make your humble pie coconut cream? Mine will be apple. Take care sweetie!

  8. Mmmm, ice cream! We don't have a Google+ account but we do have a gmail account and also use Chrome but yet we've never even seen a Mac. Hope all goes well! Maybe you can get some whipped cream for that ice cream!

  9. We hope he is right! Humble pie is delicious! Well actually... we think ANY pie is delicious! :p

  10. I like the ice cream part! We do have Chrome but rarely use it, and if I need to be logged in to comment on blogger blogs, I do it from my Safari browser. Since Safari is native to Macs, it works better for me than Chrome does.

  11. We use Google Chrome and like it ok, but we don't want to be forced to use anything. How unsettling!

Now, as far as pie goes, we like a little meringue on top of ours....

  12. Katie, we use Chrome all the time, and we never have to sign into Chrome to comment on our furiend's blogs. Of course, we have a Google blogger account and that's what we usually use to comment on blogs.

  14. Katie, we are sorry you have such problems.
We are like the Island Cats. We just go to the dashboard and sign in and visit away.
We do use Chrome and have a PC,but do not have a Google + account.
    Our E-mail is Hotmail(Outlook)
We wish these people would stop making us do things we do not want to do!

  15. I had Google+ briefly, but it kept wanting to post pictures and things without me doing it! It was almost taking over what I wanted to do. I don't trust it. There are too many "social sites". I want reality back, with a real human touch.

  16. Mum says any pie would be nice right now!!

  17. Even if you clear your brower history after every use (it doesn't seem to be able to do it automatically like IE), Chrome still reminds you of your every move by delivering "interesting sites" on your facebook feed and sidebar ads in Yahoo and Google searches. I'm sorry to say it's like a stalker. If a human did what Chrome does, it would be locked up for observation. If you know what I mean.

  18. Well, it is a good excuse to eat ice cream.:-) I hope you have no difficulties. xo

  19. The head peep is on a PC, not a Mac (she wishes she could justify a Mac, but she can't these days). She browses using her human ID on Firefox and our ID on Chrome, to try to keep our account activities separate. We're sad that Safari isn't available for PC any more, because we would like to use that for cat business instead of Chrome.

We hope you can get things worked out. Please let us know what ends up happening. We try to be aware of privacy issues, but we aren't very knowledgeable about what happens on Macs.

  20. Google+ and Chrome are on our "no way" list too. Out of curiosity did you try entering your Blogger username and password, maybe that's all it wanted.

Our mama has Android and also uses Linux as an OS. Google hates this and tries to trip her up too.

  21. I am thrilled that you are still here where you belong and I do not have to be sad.

  22. Well Katie, Brover should know what he's talking about. If he doesn't you can make HIM eat HUMABLE PIE. M said she's taking his word for it too.

  23. Does this mean that it is actually safe for me to start a blog?* After the previous blog entry, I was thinking "Holy moley, I guess this means I shouldn't try to start a blog. Now I'm confused! :-)

We baked today, but no humble pie. I baked a Jewish honey cake (recipe from the newspaper), and Ron baked dark chocolate brownies and dried cherry & walnut scones.

    * What with our upcoming trip to Key West and the various holidays at the end of the year, I am inclined to wait until January to make a decision about starting a blog.

  24. I don't have that problem. When TW signs into her Gmail account, they prompt her to switch to Google+ and also when I go to my YouTube account. They want us to put all our accounts under the same name: either TW's or mine and we're not about to do that.

  25. My Human is so dumb she doesn't know what the h-e-double-hockey-sticks she's doing and she is sure she has about six blank google+ acc'ts under like 5 different throwaway emails and about a thousand email accounts and three or four useless youtube channels and prolly she has no privacy at all anywhere but she's thrown up her hands and doesn't care anymore if google and facebook and youtube and yahoo and everybody hounds her forever cause she just tunes it all out. She is ULTRA CAREFUL with financial stuff and her work accounts, but other than that it's Nellie bar the door, full steam ahead. Whatever!

We hope the brov-ver is right ;-)

  27. Hi there, Miss Katie.I thought it was about time I get myself over here and show my face. I haven't been ignoring you, I've been lost (in cyberland), I still am. Half the time I don't know which way to turn...and then things go and change on me.

I can hardly keep up. Have a great week, Miss Katie!

  30. It must be very annoying that you would have to creat Google+ account and use Chrome when you don't want to. I do use Chrome with my laptop, which is because I had problem with blogger using Internet Explorer. I wonder if it was Google's tactic to convert users to Chrome! I'm staying away from Google+...and hopefully don't be forced to use it.
Now I'm ready for humble pie, too!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Well it's all been said but I will say it again I use Google as my browser, do not have this Google + as we don't know what it is! and we use Safari on my pad and home. We never have problems unless someone uses Disqus, and we don't bother to visit them anymore. Unfortunately the CB blog is now using Disqus so we will not. Be leaving comments. :(

  32. You know what sucks? Wordpress keeps blocking me and i couldn't leave comments. Sucks!

  33. Mom thought she would give it a go, posting her comment using WordPress. It told her she didn't own her identity. Now that's interesting! Her comment disappeared so we are back again and using our Google account. Are you biting the bullet and getting one? 34. What ever it takes we just hope it all works out for you sweet Katie. Ice cream sounds so yummy. Hugs and nose kisses

  35. So, did it work? And more importantly, was the ice cream delicious? :)

    ReplyDelete
  36. Hmmm
We has Google+ and no Chrome...Me thinks the icecream will be better than the pie

  37. I didn't think you'd have to download anything ... I just read the problems on Mom's blog and then she sent me here for the info from Brother. I noticed the change when I tried to add "follow this blog" to my blog, that it is all google. I know they use to have one that wasn't like that. Don't worry, Miss Katie (and Mom) ... at least not until they ask us for the SS# LOL I joke but there is TOO MUCH connectives going on.
