Caturday

Kitties!

Mom has the front door open for me.  It's 64 degrees so the a/c won't come on.   And as there are no TV channels operating thanks to HER!!! I am not that interested in looking out so I give a glance and walk away.  But she claims it had to be.

I am going to have to hear a LOT of hollering and see a lot of foot stomping and watch mom on the floor pounding the carpet.  Why? It's football time in Tennessee today. We won the cream puff game last Saturday but who knows about today.  Our team has yet another new coach and he has his hands full trying to build a decent and then good team.  We have fallen about as far to the bottom of the ranks in the SEC as possible.  Maybe things will change for the better in the next few years. But enough about that.

In between the shouts and gnashing of her fangs I intend to ask to play. I have my soft colorful ball ready and a treat ball.  I have my wand toys already out and mom just threw me my Silvervine rag.   We have to get stuffs ready quickly as the noise from mom will start at 1230 promptly.  Heeee.

See you at your homes.  Sure will beat mine with all that silly stuff on the human TV for three hours!  Got treats?

  1. Katie, you be sure to let your Mom know that your play time is *much* more important than whatever the guys in the silly outfits are doing on TV. :-) You can come on over to our house. We don't do football (or baseball, or basketball...). Also, Ron & I will be going out for lunch. There are plenty of toys around the house.

  3. Katie, my Dad doesn't watch college football, but he does follow the pro football games. So there is a LOT to watch! Fortunately sometimes he will just DVR the game and speed through it later. Otherwise nothing would ever get done. Which it doesn't really anyway!
But Mom see September as a beautiful month to go apple picking and hiking and things like that. So she resents football for that reason. But it better now that he gave up his season tickets to our "local" pro team.

  4. That football stuff is so inconvenient when there's playing to do! We're sure you can distract your Mom between things for a good romp or two.

  5. Miss Katie our Mom has been an avid football (pro) fan since the mid-60's when she was really small and use to watch the games on TV with her Dad. She still watches football all day on Sunday. She has the NFL pkg because she wants to see any game she likes! You look so cute in your cheerleader outfit!!! We hope your Vols win!

  10. Be sure to take time to cheer for your team Katie - that's your important job all football season. Go team go!

  11. MOL! Katie, you rush in at commercial break to get those playtime moments, ok? Humans are sooo weird about the "games" they watch! We kittehs think it's far better to PLAY the games than to WATCH them!

  12. I'm so glad the humans here do not like sports - it's bad enough to hear them screaming and stomping around because of stuff Binga does! I think the best sport of all is kitty playing!

  13. OMC, what is it with these humans and their shouting, stamping feet, and clapping hands, even sometimes crying over the silly football. Don'ts they know we is more entertaining?

Our mom's team doesn't play until tomorrow but she says there is two teams playing today. We'll all find somewhere quiet until the game is over. Good thing we likes to take long naps, MOL

  14. Our Mewniversity is having a game today, too. I don't like it. Too much noise! Effurytime they get a touchdown, they shoot off a cannon and it wakes me up! Mai mom is VERY glad that the SEC came to town and stopped them from drinking in the stadium! At least it cuts down on drunks driving their wobbly way home! xxoo Bhu

  18. Your Mom is sneaky to throw you the silvervine rag! She probably hopes it will distract you long enough for her to watch her TV. Hee hee.
Sweet Katie, would you like to come over tonight? The stars are twinkling and there is a cool breeze out at the catio. Mommy will set up a snack bar just for us and bring Tutu to her room so we can be alone. xoxo

  20. Austin. You think you have problems, Katie!!! I had to sit through three hours of the Last Night of the Proms on tv. It was all this classical music stuff and someone killing a cat somewhere!!!**

The Staff. **someone was playing the violin
    Austin exagerates a teeny bit!!!

  23. You are one cute cheerleader pretty Katie!

  24. I reckon we puss cats are better at playing ball than those silly hoomins. Take lots of photos of ya mum doing her funny football dance!

  28. And humans think animals are funny when they respond to certain sounds or toys. Um ... its humans who act nuts over football! :)

  29. Katie, you are a vision of loveliness in your cheerleading outfit!

We think we might convert from Sooner kittehz...

  30. We are a little nostalgic as football season begins and the 49ers get ready to play their last season in SF before they move down to Santa Clara. Pfft--what I say is, who cares what a bunch of over-muscled millionaires do?

You 'd look pretty cute in Niner red & gold though!

  31. You make a good cheerleader, Katie. Maybe you should get up close to the TV and try to catch that little ball or those tiny men running around. I hope your Mom plays with you during the commercials.

  32. Katie you look very collegiate in your cheerleader outfit! If you need to escape ANYTIME, you're welcome to come here HOWEVER - be warned that my Mom is a maniac when it comes to watching football (the Redskins) on the tube. It gets a bit noisy round here then.

  34. Katie, just love Mom anyway. Humans have their quirks. Hoping Tennessee does well! ~xo~

  35. We watch football MOVIES, not games here. Mommy was only excited (she said) at high school football games. And she worked under the stadium at college games selling food stuff (Her club raised monies for scholarships and charities).

  36. We are very curious about all that hollering you describe.#1 watches very little sports and when she does, it tends to be equestrian dressage, which is rather restrained...

  37. Hey pretty Katie girl! I been missin you somethin fierce and yesterday I had to go give Ollie a whap just to take the edge off. Seriously though I think he rather liked it. Boys!

Hope all is well & That Woman sends thoughts of friendship to your The Mom. She has been rather whiney lately about work & stuff and your Mom was really nice to her. Between you and me I wouldn't let that continue; they tend to get full of themselves and then there's really no living with them.

    Loves & Kisses and
    bugs to you my darling,

    xoxo
