Tuxie Tuesday

Kitties!  Mom thinks I don't know this but I am afraid I am going to the v-e-t.  How do I know?  The PTU is turned up on end so she can slip my struggling adorable soft and sleek little precious self (there, did I use enough adjectives?) down in and haul me off for a pawdicure and something for my allergies.

I haven't come into my play room the computer room  since she turned it up.  Well, for a second to be by her legs here at the chair but not where my tree and basket of toys are.  The PTU will snap me up!

Now that the boy scared and infuriated me at the v-e-t office, I am no longer the perfect little girl to take.  Till then, mom would pick me up and put me in and I said nothing.  So far I still say nothing but I do struggle.  When we get there, I growl and hiss which I never ever did before.  Even when I haven't  and won't see that boy again. The damage is done and mom said she is still torqued about it.  A perfectly happy little girl till then.

Meanwhile I am going.  What a thing to happen on MY day!!!  It's Tuxie Tuesday and I gotta go to the v-e-t!

Look at this refrigerator magnet.  Mom got it in an ETSY shop.  This is a both sides view.

  1. he he - those little footsies are cute Katie girl - just like you. Now be a brave girl and go off to the vet. I bet you won't even see that nasty old boy that tormented you last time. I give you a Mario smooichie if you go off nicely for mom. SMOOCH!

  9. It makes Mommy and me very upset that that boy has made you afraid to go to the vet.
Can Mom bring some of your favorite treats along and have the vet or attending tech give them to you?

  18. Maybe you need a mobile vet! We have one in our town and mai mom sez she might try it, although she doesn't want me to be scared in my own house. Good luck, Katie!

  19. Katie, we hope all goes well for you...and you don't hafta struggle too much.

    That's a cool magnet!

  20. I'm sorry the troll box is out, Katie. But--just think about nip and stuff and it will be over before you know it.

P.S. We love the paw magnet!

  21. Oh, that stupid boy. So sorry that he ruined you being calm about vet visits. I like Furries of Whisppy's idea about the treats.

    I hope all went well!

  22. We hope that the v-e-t will be less traumatic for you this time. Hopefully they can work on making it more pleasant for you so that you eventually won't be so upset about being there. None of us like going to the v-e-t -- okay, maybe Newton, but he's kind of weird and doesn't count -- but having OK associations with it over time certainly helps.

Also, a lot of vets are getting big pushes in professional literature aimed at them about being more welcoming to cats. Maybe your peep could ask the vet for ideas about making the visits easier on you, too.

  23. Oh sweet Katie, we are so sorry you had a bad experience at the vets. You never have to see that mean boy again. Our mama would have had a 'hissy fit' if something like that happened to us.

  25. I'm sorry you hadded to go to the v-e-t, and I am sorry you are scared now, but I am always in favor of growling and hissing at those ebil people there who commit all sorts of atrocious indignities upon our persons. Still I am sorry you were stressed out--the only consolation is that you prolly made them stressed out too!

I am sorry I've been a bit scarce--the Human is dripping and sneezing and coughing and generally being whiny and annoying. Do you feel well enough for me to come over there? I am really sick of the hacking and all.

  26. Katie, last week our mom brought out the PTU's and left them open cause we were all going you know where. You can see how we handled it at our blog today. Enough said.

  27. BTW, that tuxie magnet is pretty cool, but we hope it doesn't give anyone any ideas about carrying kitty feet around like rabbit feet.

    ReplyDelete
  28. GRRRRR! Just thinking of that guy at the vet makes me growl and hiss. I heard you're feeling much better though.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Katie, I hope you eventually come to realize you'll never have to see that awful vet employee ever again, and going to the clinic will someday become less stressful. Although I must confess, I've never been a fan of the place myself!

  30. Poor Katie, we know how bad the trip is, but the allergy relief is worth it! Sending purrs.

  32. Oh Katie - you know if you DO have to go to the doctor place they'll just help you feel better so maybe if you just pop in that ptu and go ahead and get it over with you can MOVE ON!!! Love the kitty toes magnet.....very cute (not as cute as you though).

  33. Sorry you have to go to v-e-t and it's not been pleasant since the bad experience. Maybe you bring your snack and after doctor sees you, have some in there. I hope you can relate the vet to something positive.
The kitty magnets are very cute!

  34. I hope your vet visit went well, so you can get past those memories. Thank goodness our vets and techs are wonderful. I used to be a vet tech. It is important to be nice.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I'm (Knuckles) pretty good at the vet, but Bugsy used to love it, but he had a bad experience with the thermometer... some forcing was going on... and now he doesn't love it. As a consequence, HH doesn't let them take his temperature on routine visits.

Hope you have a good day anyway.

    hugs, bugsy and Knuckles

  36. Poor Katie, we sure hope that v-e-t visit went well! Those are some pretty funny magnets!

  37. How did your outing to see the v-e-t go Katie - we hope you weren't stabbed and tortured.

  38. Katie,
Abby whispered one night before she left for the Bridge that those Vets she was going to did something she did not like at all. Abby had been very quiet, not meowing much at home, but the one time we had to take her back to the Specialist she howled her head off. It broke Momma's heart as she knew Abby did not like the Tech. Momma had one relief knowing Abby would never have to face that again. So we hope your trip to the Vet was without any discomfort to you.

  39. Cute magnet. Definitely not my fave place to go to. I hate going to the hell house.

  40. I know what you mean about the V-E-T. Jen has to trick our kitties to get them there. It's not a pretty sight.

  41. I hope this visit to the Vet goes much better than the previous one. Fortunately for us, Gracie & Millie only have to go once a year (knock on wood). Since there are two of us, we can trim their nails once a year.

The Tuxie magnet is very cute. I wish we could get magnets that resemble Gracie & Millie.

  42. Sorry about the V-E-T Katie. Hope it wasn't too traumatic. That magnet scared the heck out of us. We thought maybe you were having to get a new paw due to some horrible accident. Whew! Glad you are all in one piece. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  43. Those paw magnets sure are cute, Katie (almost as cute as YOU)!

We are so sorry that the v-e-t's office still is such a scary place for you. That boy really did a number on you, poor girl.

    ReplyDelete
  44. We know you're mom will protect you from that boy! And if she needs extra back up, we'll sent our sister Tessa, the terror at our V-E-T and he'll get some schoolin'! Purrs....

  45. So you put on quite a performance when you have to go to the Vet. Well if that's the case, I'm going to nominate you for an Acatamy Award.

I thought they only sold Etsys at an Etsy shop.

  46. We hope the vet doesn't jab and stab you Katie! Can we let you in on a little secret? Leo doesn't like the vet either! He doesn't just hiss and fuss though..he ROARS!! Maybe you could try that...
