Caturday All Day Long

Kitties!  I had a pawsome day whapping my toys around and ignoring my brand new soft beddie!  I haven't laid in any beddie in months but as soon as mommy put the new beddie in here and put the old beddie in the spare room, I went straight to the spare room and slept in it for hours that afternoon and yesterday afternoon too!  I'll show her what can be done with the new beddie!

Begone, new beddie!
I perched up on my tree too.  I paused on the way up to the crow's nest so as to let om see by the stern set of my jaw that I do NOT want a new beddie!  Leo, look!  I have a GIRL cave!

I said BEGONE new beddie!
Then, I decided to kidnap her hair band.  I go through some trouble to do that too.  I have to stand up and crane my kitty neck looking into the little cabinet on the wall to the left of the vanity.  I fish and fish till I find a hair
band and I knock it to the sink and then, I carry it over to my bathroom water bowl and drown it. You knever know when those hair bands will attack you.  Best defense is a good offense!

  1. Good job Katie, drowning the hair band.
I bet you try that new beddie really soon. It sure looks like it is comfy. Come on Katie, make the Mom smile and get into that new bed. Take care.

  2. We didn't know that hair bands could be drowned so thanks for letting us know Katie in case we ever need to defend ourselves against a rogue one.
Give your Mom a treat and at least sit on your new bed if only for a few seconds.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx

  3. Way to protect everybody from that hair band. You're right, you never know when those hair bands might do something unpredictable.

  4. Oh, give the new beddie a chance ... purty pleez? You know, I don't know how much you like books but I bet your mom would enjoy the Warriors series by Erin Hunter. The first book is about Rusty a bright orange cat who dreams of living in the woods. One day he encounters the cats of the woods, he goes to live with them. The change his name to Firepaw (because he has an orange pelt and "paws" are warriors in training). He meet StarClan cats; the cats who have crossed over the Rainbow. He fights battles, proves to be a friend to all (including the rival clans).

Oh, well ... its a fun read for adults even though it is suppose to be for kids. :) Thought I'd share that with you and your Mom, Miss Katie!

  7. New beddies smell funky, the humanoids just don't get it! I like that you go fishing for hairbands, mine like to attack them too. Thank you for the laughs and happy Caturday!

  8. That looks like one super soft bed! In time it will become an old beddie just like the other. No hurry, let it mature. And good job killing the hair band, those pesky things will get you when you're not lookin!

  9. LoL! Great photos!!!
I find it funny how some cats bring their toys to their food bowls, but I have never seen one try to make soup out of it :D

  11. Katie, you should have been around in the 1970s to protect us from hair bands! Oh wait...never mind!

You will probably try the new bed eventually, once you get used to having it around the house.

Millie makes her own "girl cave" out of the purr pad or the area in the front room, when she wants a girl cave.

    Love the photos!

  15. Oreo here. Mom got me a new beddie a couple months ago and put it in the crate. I have to use it because I can't find where she took the old one. She said it's so it's nice a soft in there for me when they have to leave me home.
I take it out and whip it all around when I can. She just laughs.

  16. Mommy has to hide any kind of rubber band because a certain kitty (Ling) would EAT them.

Katie honey, I have tested the new beddie (while you were singing to Donkey) and it is very comfy! I have asked your Mom to sprinkle some silvervine powder on it to make it more appealing to you. <3 We can roll on the new beddie together. xoxo

  17. You look adorable sitting on your cat tree perch. I'm not a kitty of comfort. I don't use any of the cat beds or blankets and rarely go on the peeps' bed and if I do, I want to be just on the bare sheet, no comforter. Apparently, I'm the bane of the Lady's existence.

Sounds like you're having a fun day of whapping those toys and showing the hair band who's boss (you, of course!).

  18. You certainly know what you like and don't like, Katie! I'm glad to know you are keep the world safe from those dangerous hair bands.

  19. New beddies suck. Why don't the moms understand this? xxoo Bhu

  20. You should ax your Mom to shoot one of those hair bands across the room so you can chase it. If she does that enough, maybe you'll be tired enough to use your new beddie.

  21. What a fun day pretty Katie! I love that photo of you up in your cat tree!

  22. In reply to your comment, Gertrude was a Manx so she didn't have a tailio. You're the only one who noticed. She was a very sweet cat except to Sissy's family. She was mean to them.

  23. Darling! You've been SO BUSY with all those tasks, especially drowning that ebil hairband! It's good that you drowned the one that was NOT in Mommy's hair. The Humans are not so cooperative about putting their whole heads in the bowl.

I'm sorry I've been a little sporadic in the last few days--the Human has been sooooo "busy" that she hasn't been helping me and now she says I have to take a "blogcation" for a few days. Honestly, sometimes I just can't do a thing with her! XOXOXOXOXOXOX

  24. Katie, maybe if your mom put a little nip on that new beddie, you'd give it a try! Happy Caturday!

  27. My sister had a hairband problem but her cat took care of it as well.

  28. Wy would you need a kitty bed when the human bed is just fine?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Oh, that head band thingy looks just E-V-I-L. It's a good job you drowned it, Katie. After all, if there's one of them, you never know how many there might be. You purr-obably helped prevent a pawsitive INFESTATION of hairbands (mol). Just imagine a whole houseful of them!

  30. Sweet Katie you just let that new beddie sit and season awhile. Then your mom will move it like she did the other one then maybe you will give it a try. That hairband surely was up to no good so it is a good thing you took care of it. We like your tree, very nice! Hugs and nose kisses

  31. Katie you certainly do know how to do a good "new bed protest" - AND I love your girl cave - you look very regal up on your throne looking DOWN on your subjects! Stealing Mom's hairband is a good thing too - I steal my Mom's pens and pencils. Keeps them on their toes!

  35. Once again, we find we were reading and not writing back. What a poor excuse for friends we are. We love to steal those hair thingies, but we've never tried to drown any. We like to hide them under the rugs instead. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May Giulietta, Fiona, Lisbeth, Astrid and Calista Jo
