Farewell Penelope

Mom here:

Precious and beautiful as a fairy. That is how I always thought of Penelope.  She was the most beautiful white long haired darling I had ever seen.  I just fell in love with her when Admiral and I first met her and her beautiful fursibs and her mommy and daddy.

Penelope was one of the loved cats who lived in The Garden Cottage Cats.  She took sick very suddenly just a few days ago and her prognosis was grave.

If you can, please go by to leave a word for her mommy and daddy who are grieving and missing her so much.  Penelope's sisfurs and brofurs are also upset and miss Penelope.

I hope her mommy won't mind if I take her picture and post it here for you.

Rest in peace beautiful  girl and we will be looking for your star too, every single night.  Love to your pawrents and fursiblings.

  8. Sorry to hear about your friend, sweet Katie and Mom. One thing we didn't anticipate when we started blogging was that when you get to "know" so many kitties and their Humans, there's sadness when they run off to the Bridge. We think probably the Admiral and Mr. Teeth were there to welcome her, though XOXOXOXO

  12. Every time a cat passes like this I get sick again, because that's how I lost Chumley. It's a terrible way to die and I hope that Penelope didn't suffer as Chumley did, while I was trying to get him to the vet.

I feel like throwing up, truth be told. I'm so, so sorry for their loss, the shock would be terrible.

  23. Oh how awful! Those poor people. It's tough to lose a kitty, esp when it's so fast.

  24. Our mom was so upset and all teary about Penelope. She was a gorgeous white kitty with the loveliest dark tail. And her mom is so funny, and so nice. We feel really bad for her. Its hard enough when you know a kitty is gravely ill, but for it to happen suddenly is so much worse. We are purring hard for Angel and hope her broken heart gets a little better soon.
