Soon to be 'Bandoned!

Kitties, my mom is going to 'bandon me tomorrow for the weekend.  Her's going over the mountains to see her son there.  I love my sitter and mommy pays for her to come here two times on Saturday to feed and play with me, once Friday evening and once Sunday morning.  But the fact remains, I am being 'bandoned.  Alone.  Left to my own devices. No mommy to press against in the cold night.  No mommy's warm lap to sleep on in the day.  No treats. I'm getting scared again.  Maybe another kitty will dare to walk on the sidewalk across the street! There won't be anyone to soothe me!

To King Spitty who asked in comments yesterday--brovver is gone and in his home and back to work without my healing purrs.  But I did my job well he told me.  He said they had a party for him when he went back to work that first day.  He said he would love to have his very own resident cat to love and may do so.

It was cold again last night.  Mom has the thermostat programmed to keep the temp lower at night.  It was 42 degrees f outside and felt like it in HERE too. (Mom here:  It was 67 in here)  I had my feets pressed into mom's back warming them.  Mom woke a little to feel my toesies wiggling into her back.

So I will be dividing my time between my two favorite blankies I guess.  I'm not sure I'll have time to lay in supplies for a house trashing.  She may get a break this time from it but I CAN hork EVERYWHERE!! (and I will).

We have a kinda Thursday in the Garden post...here is my strawberry container plant.
Mom already ate the one ripe strawberry.  There are lots of flowers on it and lots of baby strawberries just starting to color.

Mommy said she will check on everyone from far away and let me know how you are.  I may...MAY authorise her to comment.  XXOO

Katie, have you got your teleportaion device up and running again? If so, come on over to my house for a bit. I'll teach you how to knock stuff off the countertops. It's fun! You'll love it.

  2. Oh Katie, we think you will be just fine with Mom gone. We sure hope she has a great trip.
Listen, Katie tell your bruvver that we have lots of extra cats around here that need homes when he decides that he wants a cat. Baby Doll needs a home so badly.

  7. Oh Katie, your Mom does have human family to whom she has obligations...even though you are a kitty. :-)

Just think, if your brother gets a kitty, you can visit him or her at night! In fact, you can come over here and help Gracie and Millie explore the newly opened plant room (now the front bedroom once more) and look out thefront window from the box we have placed there.

  8. Give Mom my best wishes for safe travels! Take care of the home front, Miss Katie. Yes, I just don't see how everyone else keeps getting older when I am staying the same age.:-)

  9. Sounds like a short 'bandonment, Katie. Having your new Peggy Blankie will be a good consolation. Maybe Audrey and I will teleport over and spend Saturday night with you because Our BABY will be here and we will need to get away from those grabby hands!
    Safe travels, Mommy.

  38. Oh my sweet darling girl! I think this 'bandonment stuff is really a crime of the First Order--an OUTRAGE. What makes these Humans think they can just go off and leave us whenever they feel like it? Huh? Huh? Well, I have my OWN outrage to relate, but it will have to wait till tomorrow's blog post. But it's a true HORROR story!

  39. Oh boy! If we lived near you we'd come over to play for nothing. She'll be back soon, sweety

  40. Oh, poor Katie!
I would teleport over and keep you company, but I'm still recovering from my operation and I think the journey might be a bit much. Besides, I have to keep an eye on my little brofur, just in case he gets any ideas about me being too weak at the moment to protect my status as Number One Kitty. But maybe you could come and teleport over here and help me keep Caspurr in his place (mol)?

  44. Oh Katie I wish I could come & keep you company! We'd have SO much fun running about the house with abandon! Well, chin up: she won't be gone long and won't you be SO happy to see her when she returns? That's the best thing about leaving home, you know:

    Coming back.
