Easy on Sunday

Before I forget, to Miss Kitty-Kelly Thomas...I want so much to visit you as well but you are on Google+ and it won't allow me in to read your blog or comment.  Mommy doesn't want to go to Google+ unless they make her.  Thank you so much for coming to see me..I so wish I could return the visit.

Kitties, I actually did succeed in breaking a part of that lamp.  The part that the bulb screws into..that brass looking thingy with the switch on it..it keeps flopping over.  Mom tries to re-insert it but at the slightest provocation it falls over again.  That is or was her favorite lamp.  It's feminine, a "lacy" pink shade, and a glass bottom.  I'm afraid I made her a little sad.

I hope everybuddy is having a warm and snuggly easy with lots of kisses and petting and warm blankies.  Ask your pawrents for treats too.  And give them kissies back.  They deserve it for they love you very much.

Here I am at the spare room window being all alarmed over the long haired black kitty.  This was before mommy blocked the windows so I can't see out.  Mean mommy.

  6. You actually look very cute at that window. Too bad about your Mother's lamp. She should expect little accidents when there's a cat although the cat is always innocent. She musta broke the lamp herself. Have a happy …

  17. They make kits to replace the insides of lamps. Maybe one comes in the size of your mommy's favorite lamp. You need to stay away from the lamps. You might break the bulb and that is skeery!

  18. Our dad could prolly fix that for you. He can fix nearly anything electrical, but maybe there is a handyman near you who can get it back in shape.
Lovely picture of you today Katie, all framed in the sun.

  22. Katie Isabella! You mommy knows you didn't mean to break her favorite lamp, just as my mom knows I didn't mean to knock over her lamp. All I did was stand up and push on the lamp shade...

Thing is, they love us and that love is stronger than any sad at loss of a lamp - no matter how favorite it is.

    XOXO Your brofur, Nik

Well, too bad that lamp gotted hurt, but at least it's the kind of hurt that can be fixed--if the glass had shattered, well--that's all she wrote. Some clever purrson will be able to fix that bulb base. It totally is not your fault, sweetheart!

  38. Carole, I hope I don't have Google +.
I'm on Firefox because Google popped up taking over my page and wanting me to mention names in my posts, very presumptious, I think.

  39. Maybe there's a lamp store or Ace Hardware nearby? They'd be happy to fix it right up. It'd be a shame to not see it all pretty and working again, right? RIGHT?? You're supposed to agree with us here... Purrs from your friends at Colehauscats.com

  40. Hi Katie! We are sorry you broke your mum's favourite lamp and made her sad.
You can enter our competition. The cat litter is for UK kitties only. We are giving a Nip and Bones gift voucher as a prize for non UK kitties, so send us your cute photo.
You said you can't visit Miss Kitty because you don't belong to google+. Neither do we, but if you click on her name when she leaves a comment, where it looks like you can't visit her, if you click on "about" you will see her url. Just copy and paste it in your browser and you will be able to visit her. That is what we do with all google+ blogs we want to visit the first time and then we put them in our reader.
