Sunday Notes

Kitties, if you follow the Tabbies (Mayor)  of Trout Towne (and I may have their name somewhat incorrect) PLEASE tell them for me, Katie, that their profile is blocked to me and I haven't been able to visit them for several weeks.  Mom and I have tried everything and it won't work.

Also there are some new kitties and woofies who visit me but their blogs seem to be Google + which Mom won't join, and their blogs (with Google +) are blocked to us so we can't reply to them either.  :-(  Dolly Townsend is such a one.  There are others and it makes this Tuxie furry sads not to be able to visit.  When I click a claw on their names, it goes straight to Google +.  We don't know what else to do.  I wonder why Google locks the rest of the bloggers out of the Plus accounts?  Maybe they want to force us to join Google + which mommy said is a bit "invasive" to her taste.

Sorries to make this all business today.  Enjoy your easy.  I will soon.  I feel a case of the zoomies coming on.  Soon as I'm finished here in my PTU.  This was taken this morning and some yesterday.  Mom will need to put me in there again this coming week as I need to have something for my allergies. xoxoxo

  1. M is having a problem with Google +also. A While back she started to sign up for Good + but after reading how they want to take over her computer, she decided not to let them do it. So now she can't share my blog on Face Book., It's a good thing she signed up for networked blogs a long time ago because that one still posts on Facebook for us., M says google scares her!!

  2. We don't know about Google+ and didn't sign up for it. That is so weird that they make you join in order to read members's blogs. Kerazy as Puddles would say. Too darn many organizations to join. Hope you two have a great day and that you had fun with the brother. Take care.

  4. Hmmmmmmm, they are a great group and visit us too. I do have their blog in my reader but they haven't appeared lately so I just thought they hadn't posted anything new. Hopefully they will see this and let us know.

  5. I have the same problem with Google+. I hope they fix the problem, because I will not bend to their will. woo woo woo!

  6. Katie, we haven't joined Google+ either. And we don't want to...but we wanna be able to visit our furiends.

We hope you have an easy Sunday!

  7. Our human believes in living a simple life doing simple things and so did not want to join Google+.
We are sending lots of purrs for you, pretty Katie, to feel better from from allergies.

  8. We sympathize with your Mom about Google+. From what we have heard, it is too much like Facebook, a site we refuse to join, for privacy and other reasons.

You look cute in your carrier! I hope your allergies are not bothering you again, and that this is just a routine visit.

  9. We have the same problem with Trout Town Tabbies and Google+. If those people want us to visit, they should also have a regular Blogger profile and sign on with that. On the day of BlogBlast for Peace, Google is once again dividing us into "Them" and "Us."

  10. I hope you are able to get in touch with your friends Miss Katie! xx

  11. Havne't heard about Google +. We are just plain Google as far as we know. And they better not go changing it on us either.
Hope you get some improvement with the allergies. They are no fun at all!

  12. Mowzers, Katie, you VOLUNTARILY sleep in your PTU?!? *gulp* You is soooo brave.

    Wishing you relief from allergies...!

  13. Go here:
    http://articles.nydailynews.com/2012-03-01/news/31114946_1_google-account-search-habits-web-history

I have no problem with Google + at all - you can wipe your web history and set privacy settings.

Not as bad as you think and I am a privacy NUT.

  14. As a clarification - I don't USE Google + for anything - but joining makes life easier to do other things and I have it highly restricted - on the privacy settings.

  15. Mrs B...Mommy and I appreciate it but we don't want to have to go thru worrying about privacy settings and having to do what we have to do at Face Book to try to maintain a modicum of privacy and they, FB, keep changing their policies. We loves you for the explanation but we not gonna do it. xoxoxo

  16. We hope you feel better soon, Katie. We will try letting the Trout Towne Tabbies know you can't get in (hopefully, WE can get in).

  17. Mommy hasn't joined Google+. She doesn't even know what it's all about...
I hope your allergies get under control. Allergies are awful. Mommy is allergic to the guinea pigs and gets all itchy and her eyes get watery and itchy too. And this happens daily. MOL.

  18. Katie... I was tryin' to reach 'em today, too, and couldn't. I can't access their blog via comments on mine but... I can access it when I get an e-mail notification for their post. Right now, I've got a link up on my blog for theirs and it was workin' last night. Try that and let me know, okay? Paws crossed! purrs

  19. It is a good idea to have your PTU there for you to see as somewhat of a "cozy friend" and not the "scary thing" that takes you to the "scary place."

Well, Google owns Blogger, and Blogger is free, so I guess sooner or later we will have to jump through their hoops or go someplace else. We're "regular" Google, too. I think. Who knows how many "entities" are following us around the internet. Methinks quite a few.

  20. Thats just so not fair and I hope the problem gets sorted soon.. Hugs GJ xx

  21. Hmmm, I am not on Google+ but I can leave comments. It is very confusing! I did see that meowmeowmans relayed the message to them, so I hope it gets sorted out!

  22. My mom sez that Big Brother watching is Google! Sorry you can't join my blog I finding uncompatibility with blogs that aren't Google too, I have to follow by email which I don't like. Hopefully things will work out by themselves.

  23. Sending you wishes for a happy Sunday, Miss Katie!

  24. I think it's awful that Google is dividing up bloggers this way. I am not on Google + and don't intend to be. Oja sleeps in her PTU sometimes, too. I hope your allergies get better soon.

  25. We allus stick to the very least introosive programs. And we try to spread ourselves around the various service providers soes nobody finds out too much about us...

  26. We signed up for Google+ ages ago but don't use it. We didn't know about the blogs.

  28. Life is getting very complicated!!! I belong to Google+ as Google owns Blogger and if you have Google+ then there is no limit to pictures on the blog. Only reason. I think I am owned totally by tinternet now :(

  29. We don't like strong-arm techniques, whether they come from google or someone else. They should be ashamed of themselves!

  30. Oh Katie, I was just telling Mere a bit ago about you. She told me tell you PURR on which she was doing.

Don't know a thing about the google plus stuff. I did type in the name of the blog and nothing came up.

  31. Hello Katie dear. We noticed the same thing with kitties who visit us but we can't visit back because either their profile is blocked or on G+. If you google Tabbies of troute town ( I may have their name wrong) and click on their blog. Sometimes it works. Another good idea is when you reach their blog, to copy&paste url to blogs you follow and then they should show on your newsfeeed. Their profile is blocked to those who do not follow so we followed them and can see their blog. For G+ kitties, some of them say "works at" under their info or pic, and it says their blog name.
We'll tell the tabbies you are not able to see them because their profile is blocked and ask if they can unblock it.
    Kisses and purrrs xx

  35. We don't belong to google+, at least we don't think so. We have Da Tabbies O Trowte Town in our google reader so all their new posts show up there and we have no trouble visiting them.
I have to have an injection every few months for my allergies. Eric

  36. I haven't gotten involved with Google+ and my account because I hear it is not friendly to kitties, only humans, and don't want to risk my account being disabled. My human does have Google+ and she never looks at it.

    ReplyDelete
  37. We think our mom signed up for Google+ accidentally, but we don't use it.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I don't know if I have google + or not. I think my profile is open with very limited info.
Sweet Katie, I hope your vet visit goes well.

  39. I don't even know what Google + is, and neither does my Human. That's just sad, huh? But since we have the blog, and a youtube channel and gmail, I guess it won't matter much if we hand over some more of our lives to Google, eh?

You look ADORABLES in your carrier all snoozy like that. But you know what can happen, don't you? SomeHuman can slam the little door and the next thing you know you're at the Stabby Place. Be careful, Katie!

  40. Getting used to the PTU for later? Probably a good idea.. but dangerous too! We hope you get your allergies under control!

  41. Dear Katie Isabella and Family,

Thank you for taking the time to stop by Suka's blog and write such kind and thoughtful words of sympathy after his passing. It meant a lot to me. Knowing that others care and understand, and reading your heartfelt words, helps me in my grief.

I am sorry Suka did not get a chance to meet Katie Isabella. Although Suka was a dog, he enjoyed kitty-cats and I know he would have loved having the beautiful and smart Katie Isabella as one of his friends.

    Warmly,

    KrisAnne (Suka's human)
