Tuxie Toosday

Kitties, I treat mom so well I deserve a medal from her.  Aside from always clawing the scrumptious carpet, I am a furred pest model of feline purrfection.

I mean each morning at first light she has an elebenty hundred head bumps from me to wake her up.  These are combined with my purry Katie face and tickly whiskers in her ears and eyes to make sure she's in there and not some scary stranger.  Then she gets skewered with claws tenderized with  many trips across her defenseless recumbent form lying in the bed and more headbumps and some kneading to put the final touches on the biscuits.  Then, when she finally sits up she gets MORE headbumps on anything I can bump, served up with loud purrs and as an added attraction, she gets to hold me and (gently) squeeze me and make stoopid kissies all over my back and head. Now that's the down side kitties--those kissies.  I always have to wash up later to get rid of the mom DNA polluting my furs.

Mom wasn't here much yesterday to help me so I had to sit here examining my toesies- waiting patiently while she traipsed around and and saw other humans.  She takes leave of her senses like that too many times.  I'll bet the Admiral had to put up with that and more!

Coming to see you Kitties..watch for me.

(Me!  Waiting and looking for Mom!!!)

  1. Hi precious Katie. I Love you wake-uptactic - you are such a gentle kitty and even wake up your mom with gentleness. Therefore, she is a very lucky mnom to have you. Having said that, I think you need to get tougher with her on this business of running around everywhere. Put your paw firmly down Katie. (P.S. Let me know if it works for you because I need to retrain M too.)

  2. Yes, Katie....we agree. You're going to need to show some tough love if the mom insists on leaving to visit more silly humans everyday. You have needs.

  5. Don't you ever just whisper in your Mom's ear that it's time for brekkie?
You must be the most patient ladycat in the world.

  6. Such an elaborate wake-up routine...a veritable feline ceremony! :-) Don't forget, Katie, that your Mom must leave the house to make money to buy your food! :-)

  8. Why are mom kissies so sloppy, I wonder? You'd think there would be a drier response to your lovely wake up!

  9. You must be related to my Ashton. He sleeps on my bed. On me. Does his toes. Talks to me. Brings me toy mice. All in the wee hours of the day. He's napping now, of course.

By the way, you are the cutest kitty ever. Well, except for my five. lol

    Purr on Katie,

  10. Jenna makes sure I get up around the same time every morning. She likes to lick, which I'm not so thrilled about. She loves her smoochies, though!

  17. OH Katie, good job giving the Mom that great wake up call. Maggie circles our Mom's head and gets her started waking up. Then the rest of us run up and down the bed but you sound like you have it all figured out.
Also your Mom is soooooooo Norty to go out and leave you there by yourself. We will be right over to help you punish that Mom.
Hope all of you have a most wonderful day.

  23. It does sound as though you have to put up with an awful lot Katie! Maybe scruff up the carpet a tad more with your noce sharp claws while she is away of course. A subtle reminder to show her who exactly is boss. In case she is forgetting...

  26. Miss Katie, you sound very much like our Genji, except he does all those things to #1 when she is awake and sitting at her desk. Amazingly, we are all really good to her when she is in bed (other than draping ourselves around the bed in such a way that she ends up looking like a contortionist...).

  36. The late, great Julian the cat, used to wake me up each morning by delicately putting her paw on my forehead.

  37. Katie, that is some tough love! The beans mean well, but you still have to take a bath after they slobber kisses on you.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Katie we know how baths can be but as girls, we must keep our selves pawsitivley pampered! Tell your mom to give you extra treaties!! Lots of love from us xxoo

  39. You are doing a great job Katie! Our mom usually wakes us up in the morning, not the reverse.

  40. Katie, You are like a doting mother spoiling her only kitten! Only it's your Human that gets spoiled. Honestly, it's a wonder my Human has not driven two-thirds of the way across the country to KIDNAP you and leave ME there in your place, for your poor Human to try and smoochify! OMC--I luff to imagine that!! I am the King of Squirminess, The Sultan of Evasion, the Emir of Aloofitude!

But on the positive side, I LOVE to eat!! So if the noms are good and plentiful, I **might** allow some pettings. Meanwhile, my Human would not complain even if there were a MILLION head bumps and a squillion biscuits!

  41. Katie, your mom is very lucky to have you to do all those things for her.

  42. Well, now, the hoomans have to have some time "off" you know ... that makes them MUCH more appreciative of us when they return! (At least, that's been MY experience! Not that MomKatt ISN'T appreciative of me enough already but ... ) And I get it about the smoochies ... I WIGGLE when those start happening! Then she just laughs & says I'm so cute (which I am).

    PURRS!
