Never Forget This Day and All it Meant Then and Still Means Today

  12. Thank you for the beautiful candle, Katie. Mom can never forget. She was able to go on top of her work building and see the twin towers in the far distance, burning. She was terrified, then and for weeks thereafter. Prayers and purrs for all those who perished and for their families and others who loved them.

    We've been struck how with the passage of time, it seems like 9-11 has been forgotten by so many (outside of NYC). It saddens us, because it is one of the moments when Mom knows exactly where she was and what she was doing when she saw it all unfold.

  19. It still feels like yesterday. I moved to NY from Canada a few weeks before 9/11 and married a few weeks after. So sad at a time that should have been happy.
