Kitties, things are going on around here and Thursday morning fairly early mom will leave me to the care of my sitter while she is gone till Saturday. It will be lonely for me as I will have no one to sleep with but my sitter truly likes me and does play with me. I like her too. It's worth the $$$$ to have a licensed bonded insured pet sitter but..$$$$. MOL. As the commercial goes, I'm worth it.
I may blog tomorrow night before mom and I go to bed. But if I don't I will see you Saturday night. This picture was taken last night. XOX
There was nothing in the traps this morning and they are gone now. Mom will have to bring in the bird nectar while she is gone from home until she comes back even though this is a crucial time as it is drawing raccoons etc. Mom also took down forever the big 5# capacity bird feeder outside where I used to watch the Bird and Squirrel channel. Today while she stayed near- she opened the door for me to watch them and a calm black long haired beautiful cat (I put a picture of it in my bloggie several months ago) was lying very close to the porch a few feet from me. I started scrubbing the glass..that brought mom in immediately, then I started hissing and growling. The black cat (Admiral used to just look at him) looked at me while still lying there. I leaped away and flew down the hall as the black cat had gone in that direction outside. I saw him standing near my window and I got horribly anxious again. Mom sprayed me several times and lowered the blind but I tore into them trying to get the calm introoder. Finally with Feliway all around we got thru this one too.
So mom took down the feeder that attracts the cats, Ginger and Black and that's that. No more watching TV. The station is closed forever.
Mom's got impawtent stuff to attend to all week till she gets back home but She will still keep helping me go visit you as long as she can till she comes back.

That is too bad you can't enjoy Bird and Squirrel TV without stressing out about the neighborhood kitties. I guess the dog here is good for something because although we have several neighborhood cats, they NEVER come around to the back, where our Bird TV is... and also where my catnip garden is.

Aww, my sweet darling! I am sorreez those outside kitties upsets you so much. Maybe after you have lived there longer and feel completely safe, you won't mind other outdoor kitties so much. I only ever saw one outside kitty--my beautiful Latte who used to sit outside my kitchen window on my neighbor's deck. She was a sweet, beauteous Older LadyCat and I luffed her. I missed her lots when she went off to the Bridge. The neighbors' new LadyCat is not allowed outside on the deck so I only glimpse her once in awhile if she sits on their dining room window sill. Sigh.

Oh Katie... no bird tv? What ever will you do? Maybe in time, once your mom returns from her very important business and stuff, she'll be able to hang that feed up again. I hope so. Bird tv is the best channel around. purrs

Aw, well, I'm sure the birdies will still be in the area, even if they dont have a reason to come very close. We dont have a feeder at all and they come almost up to the door. Even when Star is sitting right there!
Leo says, shyly, that if you want some company when your mommy is gone, he'll come over. He'll even bring a feather!
Our mom is out of town this week, but at least we have each other to keep us company.
Jackson Galaxy from My Cat From Hell had an episode recently about a cat that got upset from other cats and critters outside. We forgot what his solution was but perhaps you can see the episode on the Internet.

I'm sorry that you have lost your bird tv reception. Kitty cable is hard to come by in Catville (your parts of the world).
We don't have much trouble here so we can get birdie tv. Mom hasn't seen the bear this year. She took everything down when he/she came by to visit.
Hope your sitter is a good petter and finds the best animal channels for you to watch.

Maybe in time bird tv can come back. Take carte over the abandonment vacation, and sleep a lot to cope with the stress, and play a lot (make the sitter earn those dollars!). And of course you are worth it - more than worth it. And if you get bored, pop over to Finland - the fish are good.

I'm sorry your bird tv is closed :-( Maybe you can try The Cat Sitter DVD. Goro loves watching it and Niko watches sometimes, too. But I hope the station will be back on some day!

So much fluffy adorableness in the photo of you! It is unfortunate that you no longer have your kitteh TV, but if other kitties upset you too much, then it is not worth the aggravation. I don't know what has happened in our neighborhood, but before our Hemingway went OTRB, we often saw other kitties in the yard, and they upset Hemingway very much. In recent years, though, Cat from next door was almost the only kitty we saw outside. Now that Cat it OTRB, we only see kitties outside once in a great while.
Come here, Katie. We can watch Bird TV all day long....well, at night, the neighborhood kitties start wandering around but they dare not venture into our garden because I won't let them! And you know I'll keep you safe so you don't need to get anxious. Not one bit. Boomie will keep his girl safe.
Mommy is wondering why the cats and raccoons are attracted to the feeders? What in them?
