Furiday

Kitties, I actually have not felt quite myself these past several days.  I ate...I used the box..I sort of made a stab at playing, but I didn't nap "right".  I was on the floor looking forlorn instead of on the bed(s), the couch, the chairs, sunpuddles, etc.  I only stayed in mommy's lap maybe 15 minutes and left her to go to the floor for some reason.  No cat tree, no beddies,  just not myself.

I guess that is a result of my shots.  It had mom worried last night as I was on the back of the comfy couch, yes, but I stayed there in a tight ball for 3 1/2 hours.  When mom came close to pet me and give my paw a kiss, I was purring with her approach but I didn't want to budge.  So I was off kilter somewhat.  I was trying to attend a Twitter pawty last night and somewhere about 10...mommy got especially concerned and we gave up for the evening.

Today I flirted with the worker who came to the house and I have played more.  I ate well and by the way, since that shot (remember...short acting) I have not horked any fuds. Because I'm not barbering.

A dear furriend, Mewsings of Cottage Garden Cats  recommended Science Diet fuds for sensitive tummy... so mom bought me some today.  She, the furriend, said her babies aren't barbering any more since she bought it.  Let's hope.

We have a wonderful family night to look forward to tonight.  My human brothers will be here except one.  We are celebrating the youngest brother's birthday here even though it was 8/22.  He spent it with his lady and now they are both coming here for cake and ice cream and *I* get all these laps to explore.  <3<3<3

  9. We are sad you haven't felt like yourself :(

Maybe the food for sensitive tummies will help and you won't need anymore shots. Your gorgeous fur can grow long again, too!

  26. At least your bad reaction to the shot was just temporary, Katie! I hope all that your human has been and is doing helps out your vomiting problem - so far, so good, right?

  27. Ice cream and new people to sniff? Yay, those are good! :)

  28. Miss Katie, we hope you are back to your normal self now. Whenever I get my shot, it makes me feel out of sorts for a day or so too. And remember, you got 3 shots all on the same day! That would make any cat feel out of sorts! We now only get one shot at a time...it means we hafta go to the vet more, but it helps us handle those shots better...and we get the distemper shot only once every 3 years.

  31. Oh darling! We are soooo simpatico! This was MY first day of being almost back to my old self! I was hardly UTB at all--I was out all while the Human was getting ready for work, and I was up in my Tower when she got home this afternoon, and I have been hanging around her and eating well since she gotted home. Guess what? She brought me some kitty grass--I LOVE kitty grass. 'Course she has a LONG way to go to make all this up to me, but it's a start.

I am glad you are having fun company tonight and I hope that the riches of so many laps cheers you right out of the last of your post-shot funk!

    See you tomorrow, darling! XOXOXO

  38. Dear Miss Katie Isabella, I've been following your blog for a short while and enjoy it very much. I'm sorry you don't feel well. The woofie who was here before also had bad allergies and would itch something fierce. The shots made him act woozy and off, so the nice doctor suggested trying children's Benadryl. Don't try this without talking to your doctor!!!....but it doesn't hurt to ask. It really helped our beloved Brady. We hope you feel better and enjoy your family tonight.

  40. Katie please tell your Mama not to fret too much. It is normal to be "off-kilter" after shots, meds or anything.

also tell her that when she gives you the new "fuds" she needs to give it to you gradually (while mixing it in with your old fud)...if not, you will for sure get sick.

Sometimes if we are too nervous and fixate on things to much all of us Moms who mean well, can transfer our distress to the kitties (unintentionally of course)

    Love, Cody and Mom
