Aftermath

Kitties, I made it through amazingly well after that horrible experience you-know-where.  I only felt a little tired.  I still feel a bit tired I have to say but I ate well, I didn't hork it up and I am being allowed to look out of the front door again at Birdy TV with mom handy to spray me or others if need be.  My Dr. said my getting so upset with the stranger kitties was me being territorial.  I do NOT want to share my home or my mama wif anyone.  Ever.

Last night mom went straight to bed and a little later I joined her and she found me mashed into her stomach as she slept on her side.  (We likes to spoon sometimes).  When she had to turn over, she kept a hand on me hoping I wouldn't leave as I usually do and I stayed..mashed into her back.  We both slept well.

I 'preciate you kitties coming by yesterday and wishing me well.  Spitty and I really went through it yesterday but he had more to hiss about than I did.  I will tell you however..hiss I did!  And a few growls too. Oh, and my teefs were pronounced sparkling and clean..my ears clean and sweet smelling and my whole beautiful 10 pound one ounce self was in purrfect health.  Dr. said he still maintains I am three years old despite my high energy and kitten ways.  So, I will say I am three then.

Another thing about the allergy shot.  This will be a short acting one..just a few weeks to give me a break.  Mom was told to call me Dr. after 2 weeks.  I think he will make a plan for me then. He does not like to give those shots if he can help it.  I appreciate that care.

Here are a couple of roses for all of you for caring about me.  Mommy took it in a small garden about a mile from here.  She focused on the ones at the ends and let the middle guy "go" as he was all tired and about to loose his petals anyway.

  5. Hi Katie san. I'm glad your vet visit went well.
How great you got to watch bird tv :-) How great your teeth are clean. Do you eat any dental treat or take dental product?
I hope allergy shot helps and you won't vomit too much. Goro's skin condition due to allergic reaction seems to be improving. We are planning to take him for allergy test in near future.

  15. I'm so happy you're doing so well. Did my gentle massaging help you relax? I'm not at all upset about you and Spitty coz I know our pal had to go though the terrible experience at the V-E-T and needed a friend to hiss with.
    It doesn't matter if you're 1 or 3 or 5. I will always love you. :)
    xoxo

  16. I know you don't like going to the V-E-T, but it is good that everything is going reasonably well for now. The last few times Gracie has gone to the vet, she has hissed once or twice, especially when they weigh her. They have to get a towel and turn her into a kitty burrito.

  18. I know the vet can be scary, but in the end he's only there to help you, Katie. And he certainly gave you a good report card, too! That was certainly worth it.

  31. Hello Sweet Katie. We do apologise for missing the terrible times. Our scribe is not terribly reliable at this moment. She says she's doing her best but her time is severely limited.

Anyway, major purrs that you feel 110% FINE!

  34. Oh Miss Katie... you have really been through the ringer. We were reading back over the past few days...you poor sweet girl. We're happy to know you are doing better and enjoying a little bit of Bird TV.

Your mom's rose photo is gorgeous. The petals look like velvet and the depth of field makes it even more gorgeous.

  35. Hello my darling girl! Well, I am glad you put up a little show of hissies and growls. We really can't let them think these indignities are acceptable! I am glad to hear you are feeling more like yourself today.

I have been out and about twice since this afternoon. I came out and inspected efurrything and had some nice Gerbers and some good brushies and sat on my new quilt and purred and then I went and sat in my Tower, but now I am UTB again. I like it there--it is dark and quiet and the Human leaves me alone and I can practice Zen-like meditation and forgetfulness.

Have a good night, my sweet!

  36. Oh my dear, I'm glad to hear you're feeling ok. I'm sending you some special cuddles to help you feel better.

  37. WONDERPURR news, my furriend! I like to think you are well & happy. Morticia & MomKatt "spoon" too, and Peppers spooned w/her this morning. I have yet to sleep with MomKatt ... DadKatt's got a race coming up to be at at VIR (Virginia International Raceway, near where we live) in Sept., so one of those nights, MomKatt will be sleeping alone & leave the bedroom door open ... I plan to sneak in & try it ...

PURRS and have a wonderpurr day!

  38. Dear Katie Isabella, meow's called Mistletoe. My huMom and I have been following your blog for a little while now. We enjoy it very much. I too enjoy birdTV. Sometimes, when all the birdies have flown away, my huMom let's meow watch birdTV on the iPad. YouTube has lots of good meovies for us kitties. You can look under cat videos or even better birdsfeeder videos. Also, there are some great fishy TV shows, if you like watching the underwater stuff....oh and squirrels ....oh you get the idea.

I'm glad you survived the scary place. I hate my going box, but I stay in it when we get in the awful little room with the bad smells. You are very brave.
