Toesie Thursday

Kitties!  First off, mom's toast had just popped up  this morning and so she  had just poured her coffee.  I had it timed to the second!  As I always do..right at that moment she picks up her plate and coffee I horked up my breakfast and in the usual  number of horks, 4. Yes, 4.  Mom has why about figured out.  It is, as many of you said, my eating too fast.  I head bonked mom's hands  so many times while she was trying to scoop out my serving of wet fuds it almost went to the floor.  (that may have saved me the trouble of horking it up on the carpet if it had hit the floor...although she feeds me in the kitchen where there is a wooden floor).  Yes, she does leave dry fuds out for over night.  I am just an eager girl.

Guess where *I* am?  I was on the middle shelf of my TREE!  I did that all by myself!  Now I am napping on top of the condo part of the tree.  Mom has laid me there every day and petted me continuously while I stay.  It's paying off I think as this morning I volunteered to go for the first time in three weeks.

Stay safe kitties..I have been around to your houses and still trotting to others...

  1. Oh Katie, glad to hear that you are timing your horking so well. You probably are eating too fast and that is why it is all coming back up. Poor Mom. But we all do the same thing, the only difference is that there a lot of us here, so that is a bunch of horking. Sometimes our Mom does say norty words.
    Have a great day.

  4. Maybe your mommy can get one of those bowls with the posts in it for you? It helps you slow down when eating your noms. :)

We are glad you are starting to enjoy your tree! Trees are nice places for naps :)

  7. e have read about the bowls that Sierra mentions. They sound like an idea. Audrey wolfs down her morning dry food and horns it back up often. It comes from her dispenser. Mom has now raised the dispenser with a box about 2 inches high and she seems to eat somewhat more slowly now. But we have both had some fierce hairball bomits recently.

  13. He , He :)
You sure have purrfect timing with your horkings *MOL*
Great that you now climb up to the top on your cattree all by yourself !

  14. Your mommy needs to just give you a small amount of food until you learn to eat slower. It is a nuisance but better than cleaning up yak every morning!

We are glad you are enjoying your cat tree again. It offers a wonderful view of things :)

  15. Esme and Issa both hork when they eat too fast. You would think we are starving them! Not! Everyone has dry food to nibble on between wet food feedings! And then there is Leo who horks on the cream part of the carpet...he is very thoughtful that way...almost daily. LP thinks we should start a Horkers Anonymous Club. Would you like to join Katie?!

  17. PURRFECT timing, once again! Guess that cup of coffee went to waste, huh? Heehee.
Could being in our catio have brought back the lovely memories you had in the tree? :) My siblings did love having you over and Tutu is already asking when you're coming again. She's been asking about you since you went home.

  18. Oh Katie - your timing is uncany. Are you trying to punish mom? Ease up on her a little bit - you has one of the best mommies there is. So give her a break for a few weeks.

  19. Love the toesies!!
Sounds like you need that bowl with the big hump in the middle so the food goes around the sides and you have to move around in a circle to eat it. Slows ya down so you can keep the foods rather than sharing it, post eating, with your mom. You know all she's gonna do it throw it away! Better in your tummy than the trash, no?

  20. Oh Katie, you and Austin are a pair!!! What are we going to do with you both? You both have eyes bigger than your stomachs!! Love the toesies, such a cute pic xox

Have you told your Mom why you eat so fast? Mom knows that when Boo overeats her breakfast (she'll eat too much) she will cough it right back up. We are sure glad to see you on your cat tree and those sweet little tuxie toes.

  23. Dear Katie,

Ah cat food... yep... I love cat food, but my humans put a cabin hook on the laundry door, (where the cat food bowls are) which leaves only just enough room for the kitties to get through... alas I am way too big...

..but sometimes they forget to hook the door.. and I get the cat food..

Cat food makes me barf... but do I care? No, not at all... in fact sometimes it is yummier second time around.

    Love, Ambassador Schonheit

  26. A agree that you are eating too fast, Katie. Perhaps giving you many very small portions is worth a try. I'm glad you are getting on your tree again. We really ought to put Gracie & Millie's kittycat housing development in storage. They haven't used it for a long time. Maybe you should visit them tonight to take a look at it. :-) That is an adorable photo of you!

  27. Nicky didn't yak too much but he always did 3 in a row on different rugs. Nothing like cleaning up bomit in the middle of breakfast.

  28. Maxwell: Dude(ette)! Looks like you found a good cat TV channel to watch up there! (don't let her think it's because of what she did...we gotta keep 'em guessing)

  30. We're so glad you're in your tree again, Katie. Maybe your mom could feed you smaller meals more often so you don't eat so fast and hork everything up.

  31. Excellent horking, my dear Katie! --meanwhile Mommy is sneakin up to your cat tree to plant kissies on those adorable toes!

  32. What great timing you have, Katie! And that sounds like a lovely vacation, too! Don't worry about any stinkin' introoders while I'm around.

  33. Gosh, darling, I am relieved you horked on the carpet and not the wood floor! If not, I'd be disappointed ;-) It sends me into raptures to see your sweet little paws! And I'm glad to see you in your tree! Humans will never understand our ways and why we need to take a break from things. Sigh. XOXOXO

  34. Dear Katie,
Me must tells yous that me has been known to hork if me has not been getting the right KIND of attention. What that is-me has never tolds Mommy and Daddy.
Second - Me always avoids where Mommy (or Daddy) THINKS me should go. Like the cat tree. Me avoids the new one in the back window like the plague!
Keep up the excellent Cat From Hell Work!
    Kisses

  37. Dear Katie, I'm sorry your fuds are coming back up. Mine do too if I eat too fast and swallow without chewing. I do much better when Mom is there coaching me as I have trained her....mol
Katie, Mom loves your sweet toeses sticking out on your nice tree.
