A Tale of Two Kittehs

Kitties!  Can you help Gronk and Izzie's mom?  They are not getting along after having done pretty well together.  Their mom  borrowed the bloggie and told us what she is doing and she is asking for help.  I can imagine how difficult it is for her and the two kitties so I hope you will go by and help them if you can.

Meanwhile we had a very bad storm late yesterday that came up suddenly with 70 mph winds.  Mom and I were lucky and kept our power and our trees remained upright.  Since they are so very very tall that was a real concern for us.  A great deal of our town lost power.  We counted ourselves very lucky.  I sheltered in mom's arms during the worst part but I was a big girl and went to nap on the bed after that.

I hope the Rainbow Bridge can stop collecting our furriends for awhile!  We need them here.

I have to go patrol for vishus deer.  See you laters.

  1. Thank you for your kind wishes to Lucy - Mum is going to collect her from the vets in about half an hour where she has had her teeth cleaned and polished (none out thank goodness).

  2. We just went over and had a discussion with Gronk and Izzie.
Sure glad that storm didn't knock out your power. Good news.
Hope you got those vishus deers. Take care and have a great week end.

  3. How are those deer patrols coming along? We have deer here, too, but I've never seen one. Never! Only heard of them. The peep has seen a few and my Auntie Blossom once thought it would be a good idea to sniff one but then thought better of it and ran like she had never run before. Best of luck on you patrols and watches and I hope you can keep those deer out of your garden.

  4. We'll go see what's going on with Gronk and Izzie.

You stay safe, Katie...these storms have sure caused a lot of problems.

  5. Oh, I don't like storms like that at all. Where we used to live we all feared giant falling trees, too, but here, not so much. We're glad you're all safe!

  7. You're lucky those beautiful sun catchers didn't blow away. Maybe Gronk and Izzie's mom can check with Attie Cattie's mom since the same thing happened to them a few months ago.

  8. So glad you didn't have any damage from the storm...it must have been very scary...you are a brave kitty!

I looked at Gronk & Izzie's blog, but didn't have any suggestions that had not already been mentioned.

  9. We're glad the storm left you unscathed, Katie, and hope those that lost power have it restored by now.

    Careful with those vishus deer!

  10. So glad you didn't lose power or have one of the trees to come down. When Mom Paula moved back into her house a few years ago, she had 13 trees taken out of her yard because they were the tall pines. She's so glad she did because that winter we had a terrible ice storm and many trees in our neighborhood went down.

  16. We had a similar storm come through here on Wed. It rained sideways and the rain was so hard it came out of the gutters before it got to the downspout.

  18. Aww Katie - I love your two window ornaments. Both of them are gorgeous. I'm so happy you and mom are safe. M said she didn't sleep well last night because she was worried about you and your mom. I will go over and see Gronk ow, but I don't think we can be of much help as M has only had 1 kitty at a time. She's had a doggie and a kitty at the same time, but not two kitties.

  20. I dn't have any.kitty advice sorry to say. When I was a kid we had a cat who had a litter of 5 and we kept them. They all got along.
Perhaps the younger kitty will outgrow kitten playfulness and curiosity as he matures.

  21. We're glad you didn't have any damage from the storm. We don't get storms here but we heard thunder once and that was enough!

We're sure missing our sisfur Sadie who was collected by the Rainbow Bridge.

  22. Keep a good look out for those vicious critters!
I hear you about those trees in storms! We had a short, but powerful storm here yesterday and a tree fell on a mail truck, while it was being driven down the road! Greg had to work for hours to get the back off/open so they could get the mail out! luckily the cab part where the carrier was didnt get hit at all and she's fine. But scared!

  23. Thank you so much for the kind comment you left for #1. She really appreciates your support.

We went over to tour friends' blog ad suggested they get in touch with the Mom at Attie Catrtie's since they had a similar problem and appear to have solved it. Paws crossed.

Mom wanted to thank you and your Mom for all of the kind words you had for us over her post about her Grandmother. It really touched her. She says that the older she gets the more she realizes how deeply missed those people are.
We are so glad that storm did no damage, there has been too much of that around our country.

  29. Whew! We are glad you are safe! Mai mom keeps purraying fur rain, but none comes. She turns on the "sprinkler" and gets wet in the purrocess, but I remind her that the catnip plant MUST survive the drought or her job is on the line! xxoo Bhu
