On Strike

It's meowy Monday and I seem to be on strike against my cat tree.  Ever since my relatives left I have not been in it more than 45 seconds at a time and only three times that mom is aware of.  Now, my human brother's little rollaway bed was in here where my tree is, yes, and that may have made it a puzzle to get to the tree (you'd have to see how small the room is and how full of things it was) although I did go in the night occasionally he said. But strange that I haven't been in the tree as I loved it so much. I have been sleeping a great deal.  I think I was resting up after over a week of excitement.

I horked up some bomits on my red blankie night before last in the wee hours.  Momma got it all cleaned up and put back down and I refuse to sleep on it for now.  She will spray it with catnip to see if that helps.
Mom did remark that I seem to be down to once a week or so nowadays on the horking.

She just told me I have to stop dictating as she needs to go work out. Pish pish tosh! I should continue to come first.  I will see you in an hour or so.

  1. Hi sweetie. Aren't you looking extra cute holding down that paper bag. Did you punch a hole through it already and have tape holding it togetgher? Or are we seeing things again. I do hope at some point you go back to useing your tree cuz you mom paid lots of green papers for it.

  3. Can't your Mom work out while she's typing your blog Katie? She will have to learn to multi-task.

  5. Poor little one. All will be "right as rain" very soon. You know how we are when it comes to changes in our spaces. Your blankie will smell right again and tree will be just as enticing as it was before.

    You rest now, sisfur >^o^<

  6. I bet you're just worn out from all that excitement and lovin' up. Maybe missing your brothers a little too, huh? Things will be back to normal soon and you'll be hopping up onto your tree before you know it. purrs

  7. Katie, maybe your super hots weather is keeping you away from the snufflier places for a while. We couldn't believe what we saw the temperature was gonna be in your area yesterday!

  9. Good to see you Katie and it does sound like you have some things to be out of sorts about. I am sure you will fall in love with that tree again. Plus the red blankie will be all right really soon. We won't go near anything we have tossed our cookies on either even if it is clean. Take care and stay as cool as possible.

  10. Pah! Blogging comes before working out! Now, if your mom had to go to work to earn greenpapers to buy you food, then you could make an exception. But getting herself all hot and sweaty and dehydrated? No way is that more important that blogging, Katie!

  14. Oh, dear. You are tired out from all that loving! You need to rest up. But you should try "resting up" on your tree, so you can dominate the world, I mean see more things.
Catnip spray on a clean blankie??How can you resist? Your furs will cover it again!

  23. You poor sweetie! Your mom should NEVER leave you for something as trivial as personal fitness. On the other hand, you'd better make sure she keeps up her hand strength so she can work the can opener!

  24. You look a bit out of sorts; what is it they say? "Company and fish start to smell after three days"? Time for some personal time with the mommeh? PT

  25. Katie
Lady cats are supposedly to change their minds! We suspect you'll be back on your cat tree as soon as your mind changes again.
I always keep my Mom on her toes.
We just have to keep them guessing.

  26. Love the picture! Maybe you don't like the detergent your Mom used on your blankie. I'm sure you'll be up in your tree again soon. Your Mom could throw some toys up there and let you go up and get them.

  27. My Mommeh says blogging is a good excuse for skipping the workout!

  28. We are moody about our beds and cat tree too. Change one thing and we won't touch it for a month. That's what makes us kittehz so special. Smooches.

  30. Katie when I got to striking my new cat tree Mom put my favorite toy and treat up there. I had forgotten all about it til then.

  31. Maybe your are just lonely for the extra people in the house. I hope it is nothing more serious. Gracie and Millie change their likes and dislikes. They hardly ever use the "cat condo" any more, and Ron & I are seriously considering putting the components in the garage. I hope you can confince your Mom to put that sweet photo of you on Flickr.

  32. Up on the tree yet??
Don't know what's happening with the profile. You have comcast, too? Hmmm. Sometimes they are really weird.
So far no one else has had problems. It could still happen....

  33. She left you to go workout? Humans really are selfish aren't they? Our Mom keeps leaving to go on "vacation," whatever that means! They really should pay more attention to us, all the time!

  34. Katie, we bet that in a few days or so, you'll be back up on your cat tree.

  35. O hai! :) I hope ur tummy feels better.

  36. We're so sorry you are still bomiting, but at least you're down to once a week. Truffle was bomiting a little last week and we think she's allergic to fish products. That appears to be the only time it happens, to it nothing but fev-ver foods for us now: chicken, turkey, and duck.

  37. Nice to meet you Katie. I have just found the cat blogosphere since I have been blogging for a long time just in the 'people' world. I have a brand new little member of the family. Her name is Miss Olive and she is a tuxie too. :) I have just begun as of today to post on my blog a series called, "monday with Miss Olive" and someone told me about the cat blog world out here and since then I have been hopping all over finding fun kitties to meet!!! :)

  40. KI - You look SOOOOO adorable!

  41. Well of course there's a Perfectly Reasonable Explanation as to why the tree is no longer satisfactory! Isn't is annoying when you have to wait for the humans to catch up to you in the "knowledge" category? *sigh*.....

  42. My kitties love their tree. In fact, that's where Malachi prefers to hang out when he sleeps in the daytime.
