Meowy Hopeful Monday

I know I've been missing Kitties.  I have only visited maybe 10 bloggies and I sorry.  My no account mom has been so sleepy she could hardly hold her eyes open to help me much due to two very interrupted nights of not-much-sleep.

Ginger is not guilty of the night terror on the deck.  The critter wrangler that my mom decided on yesterday was here for a couple of hours today and told mom without doubt it is a raccoon, and I will make mommy post what he saw and what he did so far.  He will be around each morning at 0700 to check these 2 traps.  One of the pictures will show the claw marks that my mom could not see.  It's awful when your are elebenty-hundred years old and can't see or hear. (unless I scream in the night).  Raccoon will be released on the other side of town.

Kitties, I fell all over the critter wrangler.  I stood on his toes, I rubbed against him..I absolutely LOVE men.  I like women but I LOVE men.  I am such a girly girl.  I so pretty that so far efurrybuddy has been nice to me.  I'll quit bragging and show you what we have.  Mom will take in the hummingbird nectar each night though.  She took it in last night and coincidence or not, we were undisturbed and I was mashed into either mom's stomach or her back in the night.  Once though she trespassed on my space at the foot of the bed with her foot and kitties, I pushed back with mine.  I let her know she was invading MY purrsonal space and I didn't like it ONE bit.

Can you see the cross hatching of the claw marks at the base of the deck flooring?  Biggafy if needed  and mom took a picture of one of the two traps that are set.  Baited with 9 Lives cat fuds.  I hope Ginger doesn't see it.

XOXO

  10. We figured you would release Ginger if caught. How many hummers do you think come to your feeders? We think our house only has one. But at least finally one.

  11. Oh dear! A genuine introoder you has! What will they do with him once they trap him? Just release him in the woods somewhere?

I'm glad your Mom was able to get one good night's sleep. When this is over that should become normal again.

You're really going to have to put YOUR foot down, Katie, to stop Mom from putting hers where it doesn't belong!

  16. Goodness, those scratches are barely visible! I don't think I would have noticed them either.

Hope the raccoon enjoys it's new home soon!

Wish I could visit Katie and get some of that special loves reserved for men! I LOVE a sweet lovey tuxedo!

  23. Critter wrangler?! Does he take them somewhere and herd them? :-) I'm glad you and your Mom got some good sleep finally, and I hope that the raccoon gets trapped soon. Our Margo (OTRB in 2005) didn't like women for some reason.

  24. Mr. Raccoon should live in the woods. I bet he likes it there.

  25. Well, that raccoon has been really busy! We hope its soon just a miserable memory.

Our mom's first cat, Leia, loved men too. They could do all kinds of things to her that, if the mom did them, there would have been blood drawn. Like scratching her belly or petting her tail (even though she loved the mom too).

  26. Mr. Raccoon will be better off on the other side of town, Katie...and so will you!

  27. The rocoons that used to lives in the bank of the river by our house has moved further down. They don't likes how the hairy slobbery sisters yells at them. Mr Bill wishes they would move back. He has to takes in his humming bird foods and he can't put seeds out for the birds because of them.
They is nasty and mean! No wonder they made yous upset!

That's what happens when you live out in the country where wild critters roam! We just have pigeons. Sigh.

  29. Good luck dealing with the raccoon - he needs a better home a long, long way away.
And Mirsku is flattered by your comments: he's lying on his back right now pondering them.

  30. Hey! Maybe Ginger will be one trap and Raccoon in the other! Won't that be great? Hopefully Raccoon is a male and not a female with babies. :)
Mommy is curious. Is "the other side of town" a wooded area? If not, won't Raccoon terrorize nice little indoor cats there?

  31. We're glad you both got a good night's sleep Katie - maybe he's found somewhere else to scratch now.

  34. Be aware that there might be more coming to visit at night. They follow scent trails. So your pest person might be back to bait that trap.

It is the only way....really. Expensive, but worth it.

I know from personal experience. I had three removed in a week. Of course they do not bother my cats - they would as soon invite them in for supper, but one had pulled the screen loose on screen porch and that just would not do

  35. The peep had to put on her reading glasses but I could see those scratches right away. You know... critter wrangler just might get two critters for the price of one... a rockie AND a ginger! hehehe.... purrs

  36. Oh we are so glad you had a wrangler come to your house and set those traps. If you catch the ginger cat, get him neutered and we will raise the money to pay for it. I promise we will put in a Chip in and have the money right away.
Glad to hear that Mom had a good night's sleep. Hope she gets another one tonight. Take care.

  37. the nerve of that raccoon coming into your territory! We hope that wrangler catches it and releases it FAR away!!!
You are right, I hope Ginger doesn't see that and end up in the trap. Well, you could get two of them with one trap! MOL!

  38. Katie, tell Meowmy that Mom finally discovered how to get you on our blog roll.

We hope he goes into the trap real soon and gets taken far away to a nice place for him and leave your place much nicer for you. Then sweet Katie we hope you and your mom can get lots of good nights with peaceful sleep. Hugs and nose kisses
