Not Naughty Thursday

I not naughty today 'cause it's raining VERY hard, there are high winds, lightening and thunder boomers and that scares me.  So I am sticking close to where Mom is and not active at all.  I didn't even ask to play and it's after 9 in the morning.  Mom found me in the bedroom huddled next to the bed  because the storm scared me so mom encouraged me to come out into the lighted rooms.  Last night she woke to turn over  by the way, and I was in her back all curled up, so she didn't turn over.  Usually I sleep on my red blankie at the foot of our bed but last night I needed her warmth.

I horked up a good sized hair ball yesterday but mom said it's been 2 1/2 weeks since the last ones.  That's the longest period ever. She said she'll take what she can get.

Mom said she is still having the worst time trying to get photos of me.  She wishes I could not come straight toward her every time she tries to take a picture.  She said that zooming in doesn't work very often because I hear her, look up and whatever pose I was in is gone.  Then I head straight to her.

But if that's all the trouble we have we'll both take that too after all the cares and woes of the past several years with Admiral.

Here is a photo mom took a few days ago.  She hoped you would like it EVEN though it's not me.

  2. we had some storms here too, but they don't bother us much (in fact, Tim is afraid of the trash truck but not thunder - goofy boy)

  4. Katie you are just so cute! I'm so sorry you are so scared of storms. I dob't like them much, but I don't get too scared - just a little bit. It's good you have mom to protect you. he he the picture of the bee is cute. Tell mom to relax more about the pictures she takes of you. We're anipals and don't always cooperate - she'll just have to be happy with what she can get. I ALWAYS move on M too.

Meredith Ann is currently on the couch looking out the window at the very wet yard. No going outside for her today.

  9. Katie, I'm sorry you have scary storms. They frighten my kitties, too, esp. those loud thunder booms. Belle hides under the bed for hours after the storm has passed. At least you have a loving Mom to protect you until the storms abate.

  13. You has the right idea! We don't like the thunder-boomers either! (Well except Maxie - he doesn't care cuz he can't hear it like we can!)

  14. I am like you Katie and walk towards the camera when mum tries to take my photo. She tries to catch me unawares, but then I turn my head away if I haven't got chance to walk towards her. Flynn is a poser though. He loves having his photo taken. He doesn't like thunder and lightning either. I love it. I like to sit in the middle of the lawn and watch it. Mum complains when I come in soaking wet.

  18. Storms can be pretty scary especially when there's also strong winds. I sure don't miss living on the streets!
Mommy likes that picture but she wonders what that is? A bee? Doesn't look like the ones we have over here...

  19. Oh Katie, we had those same storms and they were so scary. We don't like those loud boomers. That is a pretty picture even if it isn't you but you know we love seeing your picture. Hope that Bee doesn't sting anyone. Have a great evening.

  20. Katie, your human must be frustrated because she has a REALLY nice camera and you keep spoiling all the photo ops!

Keep up the good work. ;-)

  24. When we get a thunder storm in the middle of the night, I run into Pop's room and jump up on his bed. He protects me. When I see the camera, I turn my head or run away so she only gets pics of my back. I think TW would welcome it if I walked toward her.

  25. Hi Katie!
Try telling your mom to take pictures of you when your sleepy and just laying around. Then you are probably going to be more still. Good Luck!!!
We want to see MORE Katie!!!

  27. My Mommeh can't use treats to get shots of Harley because he just leaps right for them. But he can sit still for a moment when she holds a toy up above him.

  28. Sorry to hear you are scared by the storm. Gracie and Millie hide under the bed or other furniture when there are storms or when the people come over to cut the lawn. Our Hemingway used to run away when we sneezed. Very late in his life he got over that, though.

  29. Katie, we hope the storms go away so you can be naughty again! Isn't snuggling with mom the best? We hope you don't have any more hairballs!

  30. Katie, we hope that rain stops and the nasty weather goes away. Or maybe we don't because it means you will cuddle more with your mom. We think she would like that.

    ReplyDelete
  31. We are sorry bad weather scares you, but now you have your mom, and the two of you can be all snuggly, safe and warm. Doesn't that sound nice?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Uh, Katie and Mommy? That's a freaking BUG. Yuck, says the Human. We want kitty pictures, so Katie: cooperate, cause we don't like BUG pictures, MOL!

We hope you stayed safe and warm today during all your stormies. I might drop by for a quick cuddle later to make sure your little nerves are all calm and purry.

  33. Aw, storms are not fun, I know. Tell your mommy that we'll take pictures of you running toward her if that's all she can get. Star is a little difficult to picture too because when she sees me trying to get her picture she says oh! attention! yes please I'll take some. And then half the time I miss what I wanted. Perhaps you two can form a camera runners anonymous group or something?

  34. That picture is just the bee's knees! Literally!

Poor Katie Isabella -- it's terrible to feel afraid. At least you have the comfort of your Mama always close by.

And I have the same trouble getting pictures, though eventually I do. Once I have zoomed in or out and focused the camera, the moment has passed. It's very FURustrating! Oh well.
