The Mystery

Kitties!  Mom took a picture, two of them as a matter of fact of the mystery piece of plastic "fabric'.  It is  13 inches long and 3 1/2 inches wide and mom has looked under all of the chairs, including the recliner, to see where it came from.  The space under the couch isn't high enough for a lady of certain proportions to squeeze under.  So the mystery deepens.

On another note, I am having my usual morning crazies after eating.  I hope I keep my delicious breakfast down.  So far, so good. I was brutal and got mom up early despite her being comfortable and wanting to stay in bed. I am relentless when I want breakfast.

Mom heard a huge thumping mini-crash in the other room while she was following the notes I left her for my blog and she jumped up from the computer and hurried into the hallway just in time to see me come scurrying out of the kitchen!  She checked the kitchen and could find nothing amiss. Me and Princeton must have come from the same litter!! We're both active brats! I don't disagree with mom on that MOL.

Here is a picture of the 13 inch thingamajig with a half inch on both ends having had a half inch "hem" stapled with ordinary office staples..nothing strong like industrial staples.  The "hem" was ripped out.  Maybe from the weight of a 9+ pound cat?

I'll never tell.

Could it be from the blinds? Or maybe part of the wallpaper?
You could tell me where you got it from, Katie. I promise I won't tell my Mommy or your Mom. :)

Love, Your Boomie

@ Boomie No..the blinds are mini-blinds and the slats are hard plastic. We doesn't have wallpapers. The mystery deepens. The fact that it's so short makes it more puzzling.

That is a real mystery. It does look like something that would hold up the innards of a chair. But you have checked all the chairs. How about the bed?? Katie, did you go outside and drag something in?? Did you brother bring something in?? Well take care.

That sure IS a mystery, Katie. I bet your Mommy is really frustrated not knowing what it is. Maybe next time your brother comes, he can tip back the sofa with Mom's help and take a look under there.

Oh dear Katie - your Mom will be thinking about where those pieces of fabric are all day - purrhaps you should give her a clue.

Definitely looks like something from under a chair of sofa!

You'd be surprised where they can get to! When I heard a loud thump and the sound of something falling, I hurried toward the sound and found my overactive boy, Rocky, behind the refrigerator! There is no real room behind the fridge. They will surprise you.

Do you, perhaps, have a sleeper sofa?

Maybe a strap from under a bed ?

Don't you just hate puzzles you can't solve. Your mom is probably going nuts over this one. I still think ADMIRAL pulled it off of something, left it lay in some hidden spot like under a big heavy piece of furniture that Mom can't move by herself, and now you found the hidden treasure. he he

Are you sure you don't fit under the couch? My sister Constance weighs something like 14, 15 pounds... well, maybe just 13 or so... and she can squeeze under peep #2's writing desk. No one knows how... only that she does. We cats are very 'flexible' you know.

Well Miss Katie, I have no idea were you are getting those things. Tell mom to check under the couch anyway as who knows what you can wriggle under. xx

Our guess is under the sofa! We are always amazed at the spots our cats manage to squeeze into.
Maybe you could give your Mama a small hint Katie and also slow down a bit ....:p

oh Katie, thy name is mischief!!!

It sure looks like it comes from under a chair???

Do the kitchen chairs have cushioned seats? That looks like a perfect width for a kitchen chair or an office chair or maybe the table.

Beautiful Katie Isabella! What happened in the kitchen?!?! Awww!! Glad mum was there to investigate!

Now that is quite a sizeable piece of fabric and very neatly erm.. removed.. from where it was attached to! Very intriguing!! The mystery deepens!

Take care

Wow, that is VERY mysterious indeed, sweet Katie! Where the heck did that thing come from? :)

Yep. Exactly like the one Princeton brought to me. Ours came from under our new end table. We don't know if it was part of the packing, or what.

Dear Katie,
Hmmm, kind of reminds me of a piece me pulled off from inside the box spring in the bed in the office. Me has ripped the fabric under the bed and crawls up inside there and has pulled out lots of padding and some straps...

I think you mighta gently pawed it out from under the sofa. Or possibly from UTB? I might kinda recognize it.....

Dearest Katie,

Oh, all together we could fill a book with cat-stories alike. They are mysterious and they act so innocent all the time! But hilarious in many ways. So if nothing did collapse, well, he might have done a last quality control on the item and took off something they overlooked at the factory...
Love to you,

Mariette
