Tuxie Tuesday

Mom and I got thru the night with no mouse alerts.  Maybe that is over.  SHE hopes so, I don't.

It was beautiful yesterday with lots of sunpuddles and today should be the same but it's cold so mommy may not open the front door. That will be sad for me.  Yesterday though, she called for the man to come and mow the yard and it scared me terribly.  I have never heard such noise!  He has a big riding mower and the doors were open to the sunshine and it scared me badly.  I hid for the first time ever.  It worried mommy because I didn't come to be comforted.  MY sisfur before me, Admiral never cared.  They could mow all day and she just carried on.  But...a sea faring lass doesn't startle easily.

Mom has to get off here and start playing. I have been thundering back and forth..it's time.

You have seen this before but this is one of my mommy's fave pictures of me.

  1. Those machines can be very loud so I can understand your dislike. Glad there was no mousies, though I know you like playing with them. It's for the best though. Did you and Mom watch DWTS?

  5. Oh Katie - those outside noises can be so scary sometimes. You'll get used to that big mowing machine after a bit. It won't hurt you as long as you stay away from it. I love that picture of you.

  6. OMC! I hope you aren't scared for life like I was when they cleaned the air ducks. That ruined me for future house guests and everything. I was friendly and brave and now I hide when I hear the slightest sound in the hall. Well, I go into my office, that is. Your Mom should have closed the door at least.

  7. Hopefully the mower stays outside and you stay inside, then all will be well. And I'm hoping for more mouses for you! What fun! Very kind of your mom to get the real thing for you to hunt down.

  8. Our townhouse complex pays for lawn care through the summer, Katie, and the big ride-on mowers (and even the push mowers) scare us too! We can't even see them, really, just hear them. Monsters! So we don't blame you for hiding--we would too.

  9. Don't feel bad sweet Katie...all of our kitties have gone to hide when there is a lawnmower outside! Hope you get some more sunpuddles soon.

  13. We don't like the lawn men, either, Katie. All of the felines hide UTB when he comes. So does Phoebe. But not me, I am brave!

  14. Wish we had a lawn man or just a lawnmower that would work. Our grass is over our heads. Mom keeps trying to start the darn thing, but it just won't go. We are scared of it too when it does run which isn't often. We like that picture of you too Katie. Have a great day.

  17. Dear Katie,
Me hated the mowers at the little house. Me would hear those machines and "poof" me was gone, under the bed. Here, at our big house, me don't care. Me will watch daddy mow and even follow him around the yard.

  18. We don't have lawns here, thank Cod. That sounds terrible! The Baby says the garbage truck is bad enough...she hates it.

  20. I hope that lawn mower guy didn't scare you too badly, Katie. My peep does the mowing biz but we've got a snowplough guy who is extremely upsetting. Even though it snowed this morning (yes, snow!), I'm hoping I've seen the last of him for many months.

  21. We are lucky here - our living room is two stories up from the front yard, where the grass is that needs to be mowed. So the noise isn't all that bad.

  24. Yep.. the lawn guys are very skeery to the ears. Luckily, we live on the third floor, so it's not so loud up here. Next time, maybe earmuffs.... HEE HEE...

  31. Katie Darling, All the Best Kitties run UTB when Loud Noises arrive. (The Admiral was just the exception that proved the rule).

Nice to see you. But I don't think Boomie was looking to make the peace over there, MOL. He's a wild man, eh?
