Thankful Thursday

Kitties!  I am thankful for my home.  I'm no longer sure what happened that I found myself in a foster home and then at the Vet's for a few months but from what mom was able to get from the Vet 's Office, it seems my former keeper (never owner!) was unable to continue caring for me.  Mom is guessing they went to the human Bridge.

But I wanted to say how glad I am to have my home and mom.  It's easy to see how much she loves me from the tender care I get.  WHEN she's home!  I swear, she is gone the better part of every DAY! And when it is truly Spring, she'll take that tripod and camera  in the rolling PTU and it's all over but the shouting.  She loves nature and landscape photography.  So she'll come back sweaty, full of ticks and bites and sunburn.  She can hardly wait.

Here I am all comfy with the comforts mom gives me studying up on how to perfect my technique.

  5. I'm thankful you have a home with your mom, too. And I'm thankful that I have met you on the computer 'cause whenever I look at your picture, you always remind me of my mama. She looked just like you. And I'd be even more thankful if you could share with us some of the tips you learn from that new book of yours. We can all do with a few pointers, I think. I mean... they're so hard to train.

  11. Katie, we love that picture. And we also wanted to tell you your Mom is hysterical. Our Mom had to spend ten minutes playing with the mouse spreading and making designs of stars. She had the best time. Not to worry, Mom will always come back to you Katie. Our Mom loves to be outside too. Have yourself a great day.

  21. I'm glad you're thankful for your home and your Mommy. Bet she wouldn't like you becoming an outdoor cat so she better stay in a keep you company. I like your angel dust but watch out because last Christmas, a lot of blogs were hacked and taken over by a program that put falling snow on the blog.

  22. You are just too adorable! When did you sit for that portrait, Katie Bella?

I think you'll ace the techniques for training your caretaker just fine.

  29. Sigh. The Humans are soooo unreliable, Katie. They just take off like it was nuffing, and 'bandon us for hours and hours and hours. You are such a sweet girl--I think you need a better book to read. Borrow your Mommy's plastic card and order yourself a copy of The Big Book of Revenge -- only $12.08 at Amazon with free shipping!

  37. Oh Katie Isabella, we are so happy that you and your Mom found each other! And we were reading about your mousies too, what great fun for you in the wee hours of the morn! PS: Your new header is beautiful.

  38. Good morning, Katie (at least, it's morning here in Jerusalem, but Mummy says it's a different time zone where you are).
Mummy says you dropped by to visit us last night but she didn't like to wake me up, I was snuggled up so nice and warm under the duvet. But I'm wide awake now and raring to go!
Mummy says she herself was rather sleepy when she replied to your comment last night (it was round about midnight) and she saw YOUR name, on the comment header and didn't take in the fact that the comment was from you AND your Mommy Carole, and so she only answered YOU. She hopes Mommy Carole will forgive her bad manners and that you both know that we are both happy to see either of you, or both of you, any time you feel like dropping by.

    Possum

PS. We love your portrait with the book. And we'd also like to know how you make the star dust.
