OH! I wanted to say I haven't horked up a single thing since Mommy came home last weekend....until this morning. BUT: I had a hairball that was truly the size of a 4 inch hotdog! Not kidding! It was huge. And of course my brekkie came with it. Mom was grateful that I got a goodly portion horked onto the coffee table which made it easy to clean..and the other two helpings were on the carpet, sigh...but she has a new spray-on cleaner...oxy something or other, that seems to do the trick. Good thing as no matter how she brushes and combs my silk..this keeps happening.

No mousies though. Whew. Her pest control (no, not for ME) man said he would inspect places for her instead of calling on someone else to do it.

Your quilt is just GORGEOUS, Katie. That sure was a big hairball. I am familiar with those hotdog kind, especially when is is shedding season. Mom and Dad don't mind cleaning them up if I don't yak up much food with them. tell Mommy my Mom sends condolences about the carpet cleaning up issues.

With 3 cats, I'm no stranger to the carpet cleaner aisle. The best for getting out carpet stains that I have found is Folex. It can truly work miracles. I never run out of that stuff, ever!!

Tell your mom to buy you some petrol (I think that is the name, or petramalt or something like that) or to give you one teaspoon of canned pumpkin (NOT pumpkin pie kind) once or twice a week. Both of those will loosen up hair balls before they become that large
That is indeed a beautiful quilt/blanket. You will look very impressive on it. But of course, you deserve no less! Your Mom's friend is very thoughtful! Hairballs happen, unfortunately. At last you are not having problems with the food.
