I brought all my mousies into our bedroom and into our bed to play including mom's favorite, the one with the sound chip with a real mouse squeek. I tossed it around on the bed and whapped it and mom (acci-dint of course) for quite awhile till it
Laters, I decided mom had enough sleepies so I got her up. Best way to do that is to walk on her and make fresh breakfast bread.
Having done that, she made my breakfast. I was hungry, kitties and she should have read my Tuxie mind but-she didn't take time to do the Vulcan mind meld with me this time. Her bad because I loved the choice and ate like there were goblins behind me. She had made & buttered her toast and poured the coffee and was on her way into the computer room when she heard the ol' familiar hack hack hack sound of me urking up my breakfast. I brought it ALL back up.
We have discovered that it's not a food allergy or any medical thing like that (and we have talked to the v-e-t) it seems to be ME making a piggy of myself and bolting down my food. Mom tries to help us both by giving 2/3's a can and that usually works (reserving the rest for 15 or so minutes later) and that works unless I love my meal so much I bolt it down. Then, it's all over but the horrified gasp.
So, I'm off to a great start to the day. Just sayin'.

You are a good kitty Katie to help your mom with breakfast. Moms usually need a lot of reminding. We also remind san every morning to wake up at 4.30 am as she needs to be awake to hear her alarm ring at 5.30!. Toro usually wakes her up by walking on her stomach!

Goodmorning Katie.I hope you have a purrrrfectly nice day.Meow hugs!
Sweet Katie, try to eat slower!!! Thank you for your blogoversary wishes :-)
snort....though we think you might enjoy breakfast if you eat a little slower. Spud does this around here too...
Oh - and the foster monster got kicked out of the bedroom this moring around 4:30am for being annoying....MOL
I have sisters who do that too! They make eat so fast, they sometimes barely take the time to chew, and then they go and throw it all up. I feel so sorry for them when this happens 'cause I know it's not nice to be sick like that. It hurts. The peep thinks some of my family do this 'cause they were abandoned and knew what it was like to be really, really hungry. There's always food now, of course, but I guess some habits can be hard to break.
savor the taste of each bite of stinky goodness.
My Theo vacuums up his food, I don't think he even chews it. Thankfully, he keeps it down. We have tried a slow feed bowl and putting large balls (ping pong balls/foosballs) in his dish to try to slow him down. Neither one worked for us but they might work for you.
Morning Katie...Oh my that was not a pleasant way to start you day...I bet what you really wanted was some of Mom's butter toast to crunch on?! MOL
Hugs Madi
I don't know how she did it, but today MOM woke ME up. That never happens!
Well it sounds like portion control will sure help, small portions are okay just as long as they are yummy!

I hopes u don't trow up anymore. I lurbs u. (((Katie Isabell)))
When I throw up it is most often a fur ball, but if Mom gives me too much food in a serving and it is a flavor I really like, then what happened to you happens to me. After working to get red-brown out of a gray-blue rug, she has learned to cut back the amount and be willing to serve me several mini meals. Audrey seems to not throw up her wet food, but her dry often does come back up. Mom puts water on her wet food - I wonder if that helps. The idea is it should help her bladder out anyway.
That mousie play sounds like SUCH fun.
Katie - you could be Lucy's sisfur - she eats too quickly too and sometimes yaks - mum doen't mind too much if it's not on the carpet but if it is there are mighty naughty words!!
Luv Hannah (& gobble gobble Lucy)xx
Welcome to The Tuxedo Gang Katie Isabella!! We are very honored to have you as our Newest Member!!
Samantha & The Tuxie Gang
Katie, we have a couple of kitties around here that do the same thing. Little Bit will toss up her breakfast many times. Then she is so hungry. Good to hear you are keeping Mom entertained with your mousies. Hope the two of you have a fantastic day.
Oh, Katie, you just get too excited about food sometimes! Gracie has a bad habit of not chewing her kibble very well, and sometimes it comes up soon after she eats it. Our late Hemingway did the same thing.
That was so nice of you Katie to bring all of your mousies to bed so mom could play with them too. xx
Oh Katie, slow down, hun. No one is going to nick it xox
We live for breakfast too, and wake mom up at dark o'clock.
Slow down beautiful lady.
Tell your mum that we have a cat like that in our cat rescue and we put golf balls in her food dish with her dry food so she has to work for the food and can't gobble it down. It's cut her throwing up food that she gobbled down by at least 60%.
Hope your day got betted sweetie. Bet you were hungry all over again after barfing it all up. That should have been good for a little TLC from mom during the day.
My mom hava an idea that prevent you from bolting down your food.
Tell your mom to give you an activity ball to put your dryfood in , then you can´t bolt your food :)
Poor baby girl! Rocky's been in his forever home for 6 years. It took him 3 years to stop gobbling food. See, his brother Elvis was boss cat and Rocky never got enough.
It'll be OK. Your Mom has the right idea about giving you little bits. Takes a bit more work on her part but it's better than setting the bomit alert.
Hugs, sweet Sis.

Oink oink! HAH! I eat too slow and you eat too fast. We can't make the peeps happy.
Oh, Katie! Harley sometimes inhales his food and then bomits it all back up again, too.
Be careful there, Katie. You might wind up with your Mom giving you a spoonful at a time, or spreading your meals out over three or four dishes spread across the floor.
We're glad your mom is helping you eat more slowly so you don't get sick no more Katie! You are such a pretty girl!
Usually when I hack up my meals, there is a hairball somewhere in the mess. But that's just me.
Did someone in the past maybe make you eat your food in a set time? that would make us nervous too! Slow down, Katie Isabella. You have all the time in the world to eat.
Our grandma bean has resorted to giving her woofie small amounts of food at a time because he was doing the same thing.
Truffle and Brulee
Katie, I do that too sometimes. My mom has learned not to give me too much foods at one time.
It sounds like you had fun with those mousies, Katie!
Try to slow down when you eat, okay, sweet girl?
Hugs to you and Mommy!
We do that too. The mom needs stuff to do, like clean up after us, otherwise she gets bored.
oh my Katie!! You mustn't eat like a wolf like cody! You are a lady so you have to eat more lady-like!!
I am wondering if you bolt your food down because where you were before you had to rush to eat your food before another kitty would take it? Could that be why you do that?
You poor thing! You are upsetting your tummy eating so fast!
Hee! hee! That's exactly what me does! Yous is a great cat from hell!
Kisses
Nellie
2/3s of a can? No wonder! We get 1/3 of a can 3 times a day and an it helps us keep it down. Well honestly it helps IZA keep it down. She hoovers it all up fast an that doesn't werk well fer her. We can do the same and we allus keep it.

Darling, SUCH a good story! I hope you do your yakking on a nice carpet. It makes it far too easy for the Humans if you aim for tile or linoleum (ooh, that word dates the Human, doesn't it? I think she means "vinyl"--whatever).
It's AMAZING! I was a bad bad bad Boy last night. I brought a rattlee toy in the bedroom around four, and I whapped it as hard as I could unner the bed, and then i got unner there and I wahpped it an dwhapped it. I was having a WONDERFUL time under there when the Human called me some unforgivably bad names that hurt my tender ears.
That's why I had to teleport over to go UTB for a bit and whisper back and forth to the Admiral, who soothed me. You were having so much fun yourself I am surprised you even noticed me. XOXO
Is your Mom starving you, sweetheart? Why else would you need to woof down your food?
I just heard Mommy say something about putting large marbles in the food bowl to slow down your eating...she must be crazy! Better not let your Mom see this, Katie. It might give her ideas...
Love, Your Boomie.
Mealtime is the happiest time of the day!
I have heard it said, and am disgusted by the thought.. that kitties hork up their food so they can enjoy it twice.. bleh!
Slow down sweetie, show'em yer a lady! MOL
Katie! We boyz think hurling is just PAWESOME! Yoo wanna enter into a hurling contest wif us? We loooves grossing mommy out!
